Angels

Those of you readers who know me superficially observe and understand that I love my inferior-gender beloved spouse, and those of you who really know me personally might readily acknowledge that I intensely love my wife.

That being said, I could have loved her a lot more had it not been for the non-solicited wicked intrusion of indecently-exposed "foxes" as described within the Old-Testament book of The Song of Solomon -- both of live-person female-human foxes and those pictured in pornographic imagery of all sorts.

Be that as it is - and not "as it may" - I have never, do not, and will never call my dear worser-half my "angel," nor will I ever say that I "adore" her.

Though she is a very good person, a living saint far from dead and canonized, she is a human and not an angel, and my "adoration" (and even my declaration of what is genuinely "awesome") is reserved for Divinity only (and unusual spectaculars of the Creator -- instead of mindlessly or cowardly claiming that even menial normal things are "awesome" which frequently-misused exclamation term uttered by many people seriously irritates me).

Hebrews 2:7 You did make [humans] for a little while lower than the angels, you have crowned [them] with glory and honor,
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God He might experience death for every one.

Applying the terms "first-born" and "begotten" to Jesus is misunderstood by the cultic to presume that Jesus (Christ) was and is a created being (rather than THE Creator), and thus not inherently nor innately part of the Trinitarian Godhead.

That damnable heresy will be discussed later on in this piece.

For now, we contemplate the authority and the inheritance rights of the first-born:

Genesis 48:14 And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it upon the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand upon the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands, for Manasseh was the first-born.
Genesis 48:18 And Joseph said to his father, "Not so, my father; for this one is the first-born; put your right hand upon his head."

Exodus 4:22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus says the LORD, Israel is my first-born son,

Deuteronomy 21:15 If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other disliked, and they have borne him children, both the loved and the disliked, and if the first-born son is hers that is disliked,
16 then on the day when he assigns his possessions as an inheritance to his sons, he may not treat the son of the loved as the first-born in preference to the son of the disliked, who is the first-born,
17 but he shall acknowledge the first-born, the son of the disliked, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the first issue of his strength; the right of the first-born is his.

Second Chronicles 21:3 Their father gave them great gifts, of silver, gold, and valuable possessions, together with fortified cities in Judah; but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram, because he was the first-born.

Colossians 1:15 [The male Jesus Christ, THE Son - not daughter - of God] is the image of the invisible God, THE first-born of all creation [ consider His powers after His resurrection ];
Colossians 1:18 He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in everything He might be pre-eminent.

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when He brings the first-born into the world, He says, "Let all God's angels worship Him."
Hebrews 12:23 and to the assembly of the first-born who are enrolled in heaven, and to the Judge who is God of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, THE first-born of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood. . .

The term "first-born" (and first-borns like me are usually quite gnarly at times) with reference to Jesus relates to the following:

First John 3:9 No one born of God commits sin; for God's nature resides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God.
4:7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God.
5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
5:18 We know that any one born of God does not sin, but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

The Greek word for "love" in First John 4:7 above is agap(e) and is different from the Greek word phil(o) [pronounced: phil-LAY-oh], the latter of which applies only to fellow believers in a brotherly-love sense (see Revelation 3:19), in contrast to the John 3:16 agap(e) love of benevolence God ultimately-conditionally-but-temporarily-unconditionally has for the whole world of both just and injust upon which He sometimes-selectively/sometimes-nonselectively sends His sunshine and rain.

All the above-stated complete definitions regarding the phrase born of God of necessity only apply to THE Singular One Who NEVER Committed ANY Sin WHATSOEVER . . . and he alone is: Jesus.

Perfection concerning us redeemed humans is merely imputed perfection of righteousness, but regarding Jesus, His perfection of righteousness was both because of his Father-conceived/Mary-birthed divine/human nature, and not only was He the first and only such to come into existence, He never once sinned during His entire eartly pilgrimage, and therefore has sole ownership of inheritance of all that the Father has given Him and intends to give Him.

. . . which, incidently, is obviously greater than that of angels:

Hebrews 1:5 For to what angel did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have begotten you"? Or again, "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son"?
Hebrews 1:13 But to what angel has He ever said, "Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies a stool for your feet"?

One usually salutes a superior officer in the military (or sometimes curtseys before ecclesiastical hierarchy), and so both Cornelius and John the human apostle erroneously did the same:

Acts 10:25 When Peter entered, Cornelius (the first Catholic?) met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.
Acts 10:26 But Peter lifted [Cornelius, the Roman gentile] up, saying, "Stand up; I too am a man."

Saint John (the second Catholic) also wrongly worshipped who he should not have adored . . . twice:

Revelation 19:10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship [the angel], but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God." For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:8 I John am he who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me;
Revelation 22:9 but [the angel] said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

Pretty heady stuff to have someone bow down before you.

So, who is the first maryolatrous cultic catholic? Leave it to a woman, of course. Obviously, an inferior-gender human female:

Luke 11:27 As He said this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts that you sucked!"
Luke 11:28 But He said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

Now, I do not curtsey in Catholic cathedrals (even the one I sometimes attend in St Paul MN to hear the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale combined with members of the Minnesota Orchestra performing Sunday-morning symphonic masterpieces of Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, and more).

Instead I slightly bow once, upon entering and upon leaving the sanctuary, to show public respect among those accustomed to see others doing similar gestures of appreciation and admiration.

Within the cathedral where the musical masses are played, there are an assortment of angel statutes - some reverently bowing towards the cross, some holding announcement trumpets as if ready to blow them, and one painting with cherubs peering with intrigue at the baby Jesus held my mother Mary.

Which gets me to thinking about angels, what they do in Heaven, whether they ever sinned after being created, if they were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb sometime in the past, and can they ever change their minds about God like former-archangel Lucifer once did along with his formerly-angelic demons?

It seems to me that some angels never sinned, even though such free-willed created beings had the opportunity to rebel against God along with Lucifer and Company:

Isaiah 14:2 How you are fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! how you are cut down to the ground, who did weaken the nations!
13 You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.'
15 But you are brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the Pit.
16 Those who see you will stare at you, and ponder over you: 'Is this the one who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms,
17 who made the world like a desert and overthrew its cities, who did not let his prisoners go home?'
18 All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb;
19 but you are cast out, away from your sepulchre, like a loathed untimely birth, clothed with the slain, those pierced by the sword, who go down to the stones of the Pit, like a dead body trodden under foot.

Revelation 12:7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and The Dragon and his angels fought,
8 but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
9 And The Great Dragon was thrown down, that Ancient Serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, The Deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels [demons] were thrown down with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for The Accuser of our brethren has been thrown down [who judgmentally scrutinizes them], who accuses them day and night before our God.
11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even to death.
12 Rejoice then, heaven and you that reside therein! But woe to you, earth and sea, for The Devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!"
13 And when The Dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued The Woman who had borne The Male Child.
14 But The Woman was given the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.
15 The Serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after The Woman, to sweep her away with the flood.
16 But the earth came to the help of The Woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river which The Dragon had poured from his mouth.
17 Then The Dragon was angry with The Woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

It is not known, but assumed, that those who remained loyal to God after the recorded Heavenly Battle will (like redeemed human saints in Heaven in the future) never want to rebel against the Lord, nor will they ever be forced nor enticed to become dis-allegiant against the Almighty:

John 10:28 and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

It is interesting to speculate that once-sinless Lucifer - somewhat dissimilar to us humans who were "born into sin" even though we were innocent until we had done something evil, per . . .

Romans 9:11 . . . though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad, in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of His call . . .

. . . apparently had no Tempter to tempt him by any equivalent of eating the equivalent of fruit from the equivalent of The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil in any equivalent Garden of Eden, but simply thought up rebellion by himself of himself.

WHY would Lucifer and his angels-turned-demons use their free wills to choose to commit mutiny, already fully aware of the overwhelming power which God obviously had over them and who obviously had created them (not vice-versa)?

Why would anyone presume that jumping off a cliff without a parachute pretending that he or she is Superman or on par with a wings-flapping bird will counteract gravity and thus avoid a crushing painful death on the rocks below? Why would anyone suppose that touching the main terminals of a high-voltage transformer within a fenced-in substation would not result in fatal shocking electrocution?

And yet, such absolutely-mysterious profound insanity was exhibited by Satan and his devils:

Second Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of nether gloom to be kept until the judgment;
5 if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven other persons, when he brought a flood upon the world of the godless;
6 if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction and made them an example to those who were to be godless;
7 and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the licentiousness of the wicked
8 (for by what that righteous man saw and heard as he lived among them, he was vexed in his righteous soul day after day with their lawless deeds),
9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the non-righteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
10 and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and wilful, they are not afraid to revile the glorious ones,
11 whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a reviling judgment upon them before the Lord.
12 But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and killed, reviling in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed in the same destruction with them,
13 suffering wrong for their wrongdoing.

Jude 1:5 Now I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
6 And the angels who did not keep their own position but left their proper dwelling have been kept by Him in eternal chains in the nether gloom until The Judgment of The Great Day;
7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, who likewise acted immorally and indulged in unnatural [homogay]lust, serve as an example by undergoing a [never-ending] punishment of eternal fire.
8 Yet in similar manner these humans in their dreamings defile the flesh, reject authority, and revile the glorious ones.

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad: Remember to let her [your wife] under your skin."

That ties in with an assumption that all angels also had no equivalent of outside interference like what was imposed on humans, and thus were created sinless (with many of whom remaining sinless after The Heavenly Battle). Obviously, then, none of those angels were ever "redeemed" nor needed repentance and redemption.

And what do assigned angels do in Heaven, and will do forever therein? Do they multi-task, or only do one particular thing for all eternity?

We know from the record of Scriptural history the actions of certain angels, like "Gabriel:"

Daniel 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, and it called, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."
Daniel 9:21 while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first, came to me in swift flight at the time of the evening sacrifice.

Luke 1:19 And the angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.

Luke 1:26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin preliminarily-married to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And he came to her and said, "Hail, favored one, the Lord is with you!"
29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be.
30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 And hey, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name "Jesus."
32 He will be great, and will be called THE Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David,
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end."
34 And Mary said to the angel, "How shall this be, since I have no husband [better yet: "know not a man"]?"
35 And the angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the Child to be born will be called holy, THE Son of God.

And like "Michael:"

Daniel 10:13 The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, so I left him there with the prince of the kingdom of Persia.
10:21 But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except Michael, your prince.
12:1 At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time; but at that time your people shall be delivered, every one whose name shall be found written in the book.

Jude 1:9 But when The Archangel Michael, contending with The Devil, disputed about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you."

Revelation 12:7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against The Dragon; and The Dragon and his angels fought . . .

What of the thoughts and actions of "The Four Living Creatures?"

Ezekiel 1:5 And from the midst of it came the likeness of Four Living Creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the form of men,
Revelation 4:6 and before The Throne there is as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And round The Throne, on each side of the throne, are Four Living Creatures, full of eyes in front and behind:
4:8 And The Four Living Creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
5:14 And The Four Living Creatures said, "Amen!" and The Elders fell down and worshiped.
6:1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of The Four Living Creatures say, as with a voice of thunder, "Come!"
6:6 and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of The Four Living Creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!"
7:11 And all the angels stood round the throne and round The Elders and The Four Living Creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
14:3 and they sing a new song before the throne and before The Four Living Creatures and before The Elders. No one could learn that song except The Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.
15:7 And one of The Four Living Creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever;
19:4 And The Twenty-Four Elders and The Four Living Creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!"

What of the thoughts and actions of "The Twenty-Four Elders?"

Revelation 4:4 Round the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were Twenty-Four Elders, clad in white garments, with golden crowns upon their heads.
4:10 The Twenty-Four Elders fall down before Him who is seated on The Throne and worship Him who lives forever; they cast their crowns before The Throne, singing,
4:11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you did create all things, and by your will they existed and were created."
5:8 And when he had taken the scroll, The Four Living Creatures and The Twenty-Four Elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints;
11:16 And The Twenty-Four Elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
19:4 And The Twenty-Four Elders and The Four Living Creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!"

And what all will we redeemed humans think and do forever in Heaven?

Revelation 7:13 Then one of The Elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?"
14 I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night within his temple; and he who sits upon the throne will shelter them with his presence.

"Serving God" will probably take MANY different forms, in view of the many talents, vocations, occupations, and endeavors temporal and earthly humans now busy themselves with within their current God-created-and-given natural environment and resources thereof.

What is most gratifying is that there will perpetually be no malicious harassment whatsoever against redeemed saints residing in Heaven forever, no chance that God is going to "pull something" contrary to that, and that no one in Heaven will suddenly concoct deviance of any type or degree "out of the blue."

Unless, then until, we have reasonable probable cause that God (who - so far - has an absolutely perfect operational record) will suddenly and without warning sadistically screw up to our non-fair and injust detriment, there is no logical reason to presume that we should disown Him in the least at any future time soon or later on.

Even in this life, the natural inclination of authentic Christians is to please God perfectly without aberrant duress imposed against them, and such will be ultimately be the case in Glory:

Matthew 13:41 The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,
Matthew 13:42 and throw them into the furnace of fire; there humans will weep and gnash their teeth.
Matthew 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Revelation 21:27 But nothing unclean shall enter it, nor any one who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

NO homosexuals. NO same-gender homosodomy nor homosodomy-unions licensing (mis-termed same"sex" "marriage"). NO atheists nor agnostics. NO evolutionists. NO abortionists. NO pornographers. NO anti-Israel/anti-Jew antisemites. NO slanderers nor revilers nor blasphemers. NO thieves. NO complainers nor grumblers. Evermore.

Everlasting bliss for the religious right and not the irreligious wrong in permanent fiery-torment outer-darkness solitary confinement.

Once genuine Christians make up their minds to become voluntary slaves of Christ from then on, "why would they change their minds?"

Well, that is a loaded double question, the type tricky lawyers would ask.

The question must be dissected. The first part is: IF they would change their minds, and THEN the "why" part can be considered.

One more thing.

Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into The Lake of Fire. This is The Second Death, The Llake of Fire;
Revelation 20:15 and if any one's name was not found written in The Book of Life, he/she was thrown into The Lake of Fire.

Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in The Lake That Burns With Fire And Sulphur, which is The Second Death."

It is fascinating that both Death and Hades seem personified.

Reminds me of the introduction given to the seven churches of Asia in the opening chapters of Revelation:

Revelation 2:1 To the angel of The Church in Ephesus write: 'The words of Him who holds The Seven Stars in His right hand, who walks among The Seven Golden Lampstands.
2:8 And to the angel of The Church in Smyrna write: 'The words of The First and The Last, who died and came to life.
2:12 And to the angel of The church in Pergamum write: 'The words of Him who has the sharp two-edged sword.
2:18 And to the angel of The Church in Thyatira write: 'The words of THE Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.
3:1 And to the angel of The Church in Sardis write: 'The words of Him who has The Seven Spirits of God and The seven Stars. 'I know your works; you have the name of being alive, and you are dead.
3:7 And to the angel of The Church in Philadelphia write: 'The words of THE Holy One, THE True One, who has The Key of David, who opens and no one shall shut, who shuts and no one opens.
3:14 And to the angel of The Church in Laodicea write: 'The words of THE Amen, THE Faithful and True Witness, THE Beginning of God's Creation.

God's powerful and devastating Death Angel is also an angel - a lethal one - who himself (like the angel/demon of Hades) will be consigned to The Lake of Fire someday:

Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to slay the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow The Destroyer to enter your houses to slay you.

Second Samuel 24:16 And when The Angel stretched forth his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD relented of the evil, and said to The Angel who was working destruction among the people, "It is enough; now stay your hand." And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Second Kings 19:35 And that night The Angel of the LORD went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, hey, these were all dead bodies.

First Chronicles 21:30 ...but David could not go before it to inquire of God, for he was afraid of The sword of The Angel of the LORD.

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nothing?
Job 1:10 Have you not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
Job 1:11 But put forth YOUR hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face."
Job 1:12 And the LORD said to Satan, "Hey, all that he has is in your power; only upon himself do not put forth your hand." So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Scratch flocks, real estate, and offspring, Mr Job.

[ For the time being ].

Why do "bad things happen to good people?" The Devil made Him do it?

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when The Sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
2 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where have you come?" Satan answered the LORD, "From going back and forth on the Earth, and from walking up and down on it."
3 And the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the Earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you moved me against him, to destroy him without cause."
4 Then Satan answered the LORD, "Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give for his life.
5 But put forth YOUR hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face."
6 And the LORD said to Satan, "Hey, he is in your power; only spare his life."
7 So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD, and afflicted Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

Psalm 34:7 The Angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

Psalm 35:5 Let them be like chaff before the wind, with The Angel of the LORD driving them on!
Psalm 35:6 Let their way be dark and slippery, with The Angel of the LORD pursuing them!

Isaiah 37:36 And The Angel of the LORD went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, hey, these were all dead bodies.

Acts 12:23 Immediately an angel of the Lord smote [Herod], because he did not give God the glory; and he was eaten by worms and died.

First Corinthians 10:10 ...nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by The Destroyer.

Hebrews 11:28 By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the first-born might not touch them.

Revelation 9:11 They have as king over them The Angel of The Abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.
