Religious Coexistence?

I saw another one today.

A weirdly-artistic cutesy bumper sticker reading: "COEXIST" - having what seemed to be an [islamic/muslim?] crescent for the "c," a bird-claw peace symbol for the "o," a Star of David for the "x," and a Christian cross for the "t."

Why is that ridiculous internally-oxymoronic symbolically-ecumenical religious word frequently on the same bumper . . . as is a proper-discrimination-lacking "=" sign (which I guess either means defiant support for same-gender sodomy affairs or for rebellious sexist-feminist insubordination - or both) . . . sometimes on the same bumper with an OBAMA or OBAMA-BIDEN bumper sticker . . . occasionally with an orange "VOTE NO" orange bumper sticker added to the conglomerate mix (the latter bumper-sticker phrase of which probably bespeaks not of Biblical-reminiscent heterosexual-patriarchal harem polygamy, but instead deviant homosexual "marriages")?

If I asked the clearly-belligerent activist person responsible for the posting and public imposing of at least the COEXIST bumper sticker on their vehicle, he or she might respond with a retort such as:

"We need to be tolerant of all religions, and live in global harmony without fighting and wars."

My response to them would be:

"Leave the "we" OUT of it - unless you have been endowed with Divine authority to force such tolerance on others than yourself. HAVE you been given such authority?"

Their possible response: "No, it is merely a suggestion for cooperative agreement."

"And such ecumenical tolerance begins with you, -- first - to avoid YOU being hypocritical?"

They then might come back with: "But I would like others to be of the same mindset also, even though I cannot demand that."

"And if they choose to NOT be tolerant? WHAT will be your response either toward them or against them?"

"There will continue to be divisive factions, as there are now," their saddened reply.

"Do you not realistically realize that all those who are diehard fundamentalist zealots of those religions you symbolized within your COEXIST word on your bumper do NOT and will NOT be tolerant with each other?

For example, concerning radical islamic, they are koranically ready to kill those who do not espouse allah and the prophet Mohammed.

Muslims and jews (among other cultic) will not accept Jesus Christ as God incarnate.

And the peaceniks do not ally themselves with any particular god, and vacillate between the great indian spirit or mother Earth or whatever/whoever.

Yet, The Holy Bible of the Christians states that "Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. NO one comes to the Father except by and through Him."

None of the non-Christian [cultic] religions (be they mere-Old-Covenant judaism, children-of-god-unity peacenikism, mormonism, jehovah's witnessism, muslim islamism, hinduism, confucianism, shintoism, etc.) would agree to acknowledge the mysterious trinitarian Godhead within which the Son of God is equated with God the Father and the Holy Spirit:

Isaiah 9:6 (RSV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6 (ASV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 (KVJ) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJ21) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

First John 5:7 (KJV, KJ21, MKJV, Wesley - NOT RSV nor NIV) For there are three [who] bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word [ Jesus, the Son of God, or Word of God ], and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one."

"Yeah, I suppose," they might reluctantly admit.

"You think that Kenyan-not-Hawaiian-born antisemitic and NON-reproduction-advocating "reproductive"-abortion-homicide-promoter, illegal-alien-like/former?-Indonisian-resident Barack Hussein Obama is one who absurdly presumes that peaceful coexistence among diehards of each different religion with different deities is possible through Executive-Order or Executive-Agreement government edict and mandate?"

"Probably," they sheepishly guess.

"Do you presume that homosexuals can procreate between each other alone, without any sexual utilization of the opposite gender whatsoever?"

"No," they concur.

"If taken to the limit, then, would not a society of only homosexuals who were always and only homosexual become extinct?"

"They would not do that. They can be bisexual as only part-time homosexuals. Ranting-gaffer Biden might go along with that."

"Is not that being dishonest against their singular homosexuality-only perverse intentions?"

"Who knows what old-dinosaur Biden feels? Concerning, and not regarding the others, it seems to me it might be untrue to their inner convictions," their response.

"Might" be . . . or rather: is? One cannot go forward and backwards at the same time. One cannot speed through a red stoplight AND stop for it at the same time," I continue.

"All religions advocate doing good works, and even if people who claim to follow those religions are incessantly intolerant (and they plainly are), at least the gods of each are forgiving, all-merciful, and exhibit unconditional love for those who are doing the best that they can."

"That infrequent doing of whatever whoever considers "good works" is inadequate when it comes to true Christianity.

Consider the following verses from the sacred-66-books Judeo-Christian (i.e. Old-and-New-Testaments) Holy Bible:

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God; to draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know that they are doing evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.

Isaiah 5:18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, who draw sin as with cart ropes
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!

Isaiah 10:1 Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression

Isaiah 29:15 Woe to those who hide deep from the LORD their counsel, whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, "Who sees us? Who knows us?"

Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will reside securely. And this is the name by which He will be called: 'The LORD is our righteousness.'
Jeremiah 33:16 In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will reside securely. And this is the name by which it will be called: 'The LORD is our righteousness.'

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God;
John 1:3 all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.

John 8:54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is your God.
John 8:55 But you have not known Him; I know Him. If I said, I do not know Him, I would be a liar like you; but I do know Him and I keep His word.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he was to see my day; he saw it and was glad."
John 8:57 The Jews then said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

John 16:1 "I have said all this to you to keep you from falling away.
2 They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever murders you [ sounds like extreme intolerance! ] will presume that he is offering service to God.
3 And they will do this because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you of them. I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
8 And when He comes, He will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:
9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me;
10 regarding righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more;
11 regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come.
14 He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine and declare it to you."

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Acts 17:22 So Paul, standing in the middle of the Areopagus, said: "Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious.
23 For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, 'To an unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.
24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man,
25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all humans life and breath and everything.
26 And He made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation,
27 that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him. Yet He is not far from each one of us,
28 for 'In Him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your poets have said, 'For we are indeed His offspring.'
29 Being then God's offspring, we ought humans.
30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all humans everywhere to repent,
31 because He has fixed a Day when which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed, and of this He has given assurance to all humans by raising Him from the dead."
32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, "We will hear you again about this."

Romans 2:6 For [God] will render to every human according to [his] works:
7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life;
8 but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury.
9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek,
10 but glory and honor and peace for every one who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.
11 For God shows no partiality.
12 All who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
14 When nations who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.
15 They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them
16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of humans by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:20 For no human being will be justified [ i.e. sins atoned for ] in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:28 For we hold that a human is justified [ i.e. sins atoned for ] by faith [ in Christ as Redeemer, not "having confidence in confidence alone" ] apart from works of law.

Romans 10:2 I bear them witness that they [ those of other religions ] have a zeal for God, but it is not enlightened.
Romans 10:3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

First Corinthians 1:30 [Christ Jesus] is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom, our righteousness and sanctification and redemption

Galatians 3:10 For all who rely on works of the law [ to atone for sins ] are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be every one who does not stay by all things written in the book of the law, and do them."

Colossians 1:11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
13 He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation;
16 for in Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities: all things were created through Him and for Him.
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
19 For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to reside,
20 and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross.
21 And you, who once were estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil works,
22 He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before Him, stable and continuous, not shifting from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
27 To [ the saints ] God chose to make known how great among the nations are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28 Him we proclaim, warning every human and teaching every human in all wisdom, that we may present every human mature in Christ.
29 For this I labor, working with all the energy which He mightily inspires within me.

James 2:24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
James 4:17 Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Revelation 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is The Book of Life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.

"I knew that doing good was involved in Christianity," comes the response.

"MUCH more than that," I replied.

"Christianity is NOT a religion of "generally doing whatever good works we can as much as humanly possible, supposing that God mercifully and tolerantly will let that suffice as [ proverbial ] "brownie points" for us getting into Heaven:

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:6 (RSV) We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

"Now, don't misunderstand and mis-interpretationally twist the Scriptures to infer what certainly is not implied. Our righteousness is indeed righteousness (if we define "righteousness" by the Bible), and our iniquities are indeed wickedness and not goodness.

But the evil works we have committed essentially negates the benefit of the good works performed, and that is why we need to believe and claim Christ's bloody atonement for us done by crucifixion on some cross nearly 2000 years ago over in the Middle East cancelling the penalty of those sins applying to ourselves."

By self-imposing an apparently on-going policy of exclusionary de facto censorship, an Alexander-the-Coppersmith-reminiscent e-mail outfit called Lavabit has been (for some customers) a basically receive-incoming-messages-only no-outgoing-messages-allowed obstructionist among e-mail "providers."

It is lamentable that that entity presenting such a remarkably non-busy simple and easy-to-use layout has become so subversively disciminatory and untrustworthy.
