Godwimps?

Consider what most worldly persons misunderstand and presume to be the - if not rudely laughable at least pathetic and pitiable - "core" characteristic of "christianity" and what they certainly hope will continue to be the easily-conquerable and readily-defeatable summary essence of that "superstitious" religion personified by pervert- "artists" paintings and sculptures of an effeminately-mopheaded pansy-wansy jesus refusing to adversarially fight both jews and romans:

[Comments in italics will be printed to indicate how irreligious pagans misconstrue and misinterpret the following uttered axioms of Jesus]:

Matthew 5:1 Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain, and when He sat down [ unlike Willard the Mittwit has done when orating at his political pulpits ] His disciples came to Him [ but nowadays the political newsreporters and partisan crowds usually come before the Mormonic Presidential hopeful comes in ]

2 And He opened his mouth [ to breathe, burp or belch? ] and taught them, saying:

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [ Self-deprecate and stifle self-esteem, so as to get into manic depression before trying to commit suicide? Why would such mentally-disturbed nutcases deserve "heaven?" ]

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. [ "Mourn" about what? A bad bellyache? Some dear close friend die? Losing your wallet or keys or cellphone, or not having the 'Winner-Winner-Chicken-Dinner' lottery number? Not successfully seducing some cute chick to go all the way? Getting arrested? And are you sure that comfort will follow? ]

5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. [ Let bullies trample all over you, and don't be ambitious, so as to "inherit the Earth?" How much of the planet is that "inheritance" going to be? As much chance as winning the jackpot lottery? ]

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. [ To each his own as to what they want and what satisfies them. How about hungering for a big-ol' juicy T-bone steak, and a nice cool glass of chilled Chardonney? Make yourself happy by obeying nitpicky and restrictive religious rules? O . . . . . K ]

7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. [ Let criminals get away with it, so they let you get away with it? ]

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. [ Who wants to be frightened by seeing God, when we can gaze at some foxy female teen doing a totally-nude barefooted strip dance at some bar? Eternal abstinence sucks ]

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. [ Why honor wimps and scaredy cats? The Colt .45 handgun was called a "peacemaker" from which explosive retorts were usually used in some type of war or combat. Why cowardly consign ourselves to "peace" when others want us to fight, and if we don't, we'll get taken advantage of? ]

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [ Lose my friends by being too high-and-mighty around them? Getting humiliated and slandered for rudely and rebelliously not conforming to the crowd is anything but getting "blest." And why acquire the queendom? of "heaven" by getting into trouble for being too religious? ]

11 Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. [ Why be made fun of and ostracized for being a goody-two-shoes? ]

12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you. [ Oh joy when we have been wronged, and how stupid to be happy about suffering! Other religious zealots took the heat for being extremist, and they got unemployed, beaten up, and are now dead by lynching - so what good did it do them? ]

13 You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men. [ Does salt ever get stale? Salt never loses its saltiness ]

14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. [ I am no light bulb and certainly no city - not even a village ]

15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. [ Do not compare me with some oil-and-wick-burning lantern, nor to a flashlight. How degrading! ]

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. [ So if I become some symbolic firefly, I should show off my holier-than-thou-ness, but I don't know how that would cause them to glorify the God of heaven, but instead disdain me ]

17 Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. [ There we go again with the nitpicky religious ceremonies, customs, trinkets, robed-priest rituals with monotonously-repetitious simplistic choreography ]

18 For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. [ Burdensome and tedious religious mantras and noxiously-repetitious two-stepping at the front altar? ]

19 Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [ That depends upon who you are talking to, and what has all that to do with some never-never-land fairy-tale-sexist "king"-dom of "heaven" myth? ]

20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. [ We sure don't want to be called "pharisees." But we have already have discussed that topic. Let's move along to something new, and not get hung up nor dwell on that anymore ]

21 You have heard that it was said to the men of old, 'You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.'[ How can you get fries, a fish sandwich, a KFC special, an Arby's roast-beef sandwich, Mac-and-Don's hamburger, or pork chops unless you first kill the potato, cod, hen, cow or pig? ]

22 But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell of fire. [ Cops get angry when people run red stoplights. Some people are fools, and should be called that to expose them to make them stop the silliness. Even the Bible says that ]

23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, [ I thought that you were supposed to be concentrating on God up front instead of on others ]

24 leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. [ Be disruptively and noticeably impolite by walking out in the middle of a church service, thus disturbing others in the pews? And nowadays, congregants do not "offer" donations at the altar, but instead into the offering plates passed around when they are in the pews ]

25 Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; [ It does not always go that far. If it does, we can appeal and countersue, and we like the idea of parole and pardon ]

26 truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny. [ Not always. Leniency is sometimes the case. And hopefully, fines will be waived for good behavior when in "correctional" incarceration long enough, and amounts we do pay are FAR more than mere "pennies" ]

27 You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' [ Sleazy politicians and Hollywood stars do it rather often, and it is not that unusual, nor that abhorred anymore]

28 But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. [ Mere glancing is not legal adultery unless a person actually touches another person. You can look at porn imagery but just don't touch the models posing for it unless they want it ]

29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. [ Hell? Sounds serious and nasty - whatever "hell" is. Your eye is not the cause of lusting, and it is the genitals which get aroused . . . but that is the fault of non-solicited immodestly-indecent impositions from inconsiderate and thoughtlessly-pompous-ass mopheaded, nude-armed, naked-legged, or bare-footed pretty sluts or lovely whores. And no painful eye-injuring self-abuse, please, unless you want to be confined in some mental ward for insanely self-inflicting permanent and debilitating blindness! ]

30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell. [ Why go maimed instead of simply being handcuffed? See the previous-verse comment ]

31 It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.'[ Unless it is a cohabitational live-in separation ]

32 But I say to you that every one who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. [ What exactly is "unchastity?" Extramarital handholding or lip kissing? Whoever marries a divorced woman is stupid, asking for trouble, and getting discardable used and damaged merchandise ].

33 Again you have heard that it was said to the men of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.' [ Everyone tells a little white lie, now and then. It's normal. And people generally do not cuss for the heck of it, but usually really mean it, and for good cause ]

34 But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, [ Have you ever sworn when accidently hitting your thumb with a hammer? Who wants to "swear" by heaven - and what has that to do with uttering an understandable 'Damn!' now and then? And it seems to me that there is more to "heaven" than some throne therein ]

35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. [ Sure a lot of goofy things to swear at. We can think of more common things to cuss at ]

36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. [ Use hair coloring? These examples are getting ridiculous. Downright looney and embarrassing ]

37 Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil. [ It is better to give a detailed-enough description that mere nods and grunts, or presuming others can read your mind ]

38 You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' [ We have also heard of "tit for tat" ]

39 But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; [ Why not let him urinate on you and yours also? Maybe also then pull out a pistol and shoot you and yours between the eyes?]

40 and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; [ Be dumb enough to allow yourself to get robbed or go bankrupt? Pay your bills that way. See if I care, idiot ]

41 and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. [ Especially if you are lame and on crutches, and already late for an important appointment? ]

42 Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you. [ Let others embezzle you and steal your I.D. for credit-card theft. They deserve it, don't they? ]

43 You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' [ Certainly. What would you expect me to do? It's what usually is done, and logical. Any problem with that? ]

44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [ Really? Let the terrorist blow up your car, your house, a few of your bodily limbs off, then "pray" for them . . . if they haven't yet cut out your tongue by then ]

45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. [ No justice in that! No fairness. The rapist gets as suntanned as the non-rapist? Drought relief for the antisemitic nazi as much as the local charity benefactor? Suicide bombers get the Nobel Peace Prize as often as some law-abiding neighbor? Give the vicious armored-truck thief as much welfare as the harmless little old widow lady? Doesn't make sense! ]

46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? [ Is there something wrong with loving those who love us? What is so bad about that? And do not overdo it admiring IRS agents ]

47 And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? [ You'd better salute your higher-ranking commanding officer in the military who is neither your brother nor sister, whether you like him or not. And what are "Gentiles?" Mosaic flooring on the patio or in the bathroom? ]

48 You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. [ NO one is NOR can be completely perfect as God is perfect. That should be obvious, and almost goes without saying ].

One of the problems many and most people have in reading and trying to understand The Judeo-Christian (Old-and-New-Testaments) Holy Bible (as, for example, the contents of the goofy?-sounding-comparisons Song of Solomon, some of the understandably-objectionable? verbage of Jesus supposedly concerning and not readily regarding "being born again" and "Lazarus dead instead of sleeping" and "eating His body and drinking His blood," plus weird-animals? terminology in the book of Revelation . . . is that they do not differentiate between what is obviously (?) euphemistic, symbolic, allegorical, metaphorical . . . compared to what clearly is meant to be understood literally as most up-to-date dictionaries plainly (without weasel-worded revisionism) define words literally describing existing entities, processes, and properties of natural phenomena around them.

Some semantics are sensibly to be understood only in a "spiritual" sense rather than a literal sense -- not that the allegorical, symbolic, metaphorical, and euphemistic linguistics mean nothing, of course (being that they all, of course, refer to some other actual and literal existing and not imaginary thing or procedure).

But it is despicable and deplorable heresy combined with downright absurd foolishness to misconsider what should be taken figuratively instead of literally.

And always interpret with appropriate contextual considerations.

Or, how would you like to literally "step on the gas?" Want a stinky wet foot with petrol on it? Better not let anyone throw a lit match on that. Or: "hit the nail on the head" - when there is neither nail nor hammer around? I'm sure that you could think of a lot more examples.

Should anyone substitute the generic all-inclusive ability of humans to "choose" with "choice" -- for the very specific and limited perception of and equivalence with the atrocity of committing (and not "performing") abortion?
Have a confusing double meaning for innocent yippie-skippie carefree "gay" with the guilt-ridden noxious aberration of effeminate-sodomy homosexuality?
Call deviantly-apostate ameba-to-ape-to-human illustrations and illusions of big-bang-baloney self-creating/randomly-occurring-origins evolutionary-mythology: "science?"
Term dirty paintings, photos, and sculptures: "art?"
Is it prudent for scoreboard defeat of an opposing athletic team to be summarized with the phrase: "They were absolutely slaughtered!" - conjuring up dangerous presumption of the players lined up along a wall, bound and blindfolded, then murderously gunned down?

Second Kings 19:32 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: "He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.
Second Kings 19:33 By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city," says the Lord.
Second Kings 19:34 For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David."
Second Kings 19:35 And that night the angel of the Lord went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, hey, these were all dead bodies.

Proverbs 30:6 Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Jeremiah 14:14 And the LORD said to me: "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name; I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.
Jeremiah 14:15 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not come on this land': By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

Jeremiah 23:21 "I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied."

Jeremiah 23:32 Hey, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams," says the LORD, "and who tell them and lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when I did not send them or charge them; so they do not profit this people at all," says the LORD.

Jeremiah 28:10 Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke-bars from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and broke them.
Jeremiah 28:11 And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, "Thus says the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations within two years." But Jeremiah the prophet went his way.
Jeremiah 28:12 Sometime after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke-bars from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 28:13 "Go, tell Hananiah, 'Thus says the Lord: You have broken wooden bars, but I will make in their place bars of iron.' "
Jeremiah 28:15 And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, "Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.
Jeremiah 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord: 'Hey, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you shall die, because you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.' "
Jeremiah 28:17 In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.

Jeremiah 29:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams which they dream,

Jeremiah 29:31 Send to all the exiles, saying, "Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,
Jeremiah 29:32 therefore thus says the LORD: Hey, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants; he shall not have any one living among this people to see the good that I will do to my people, says the LORD, for he has talked rebellion against the LORD."

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land?
Acts 5:4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
Acts 5:5 When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and died. And great fear came upon all who heard of it.

Second Peter 3:15 And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
Second Peter 3:16 speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures.
Second Peter 3:17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of lawless men and lose your own stability.

First Corinthians 2:13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.

Revelation 22:18 I warn every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
Revelation 22:19 and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Dictionary definitions can be adjusted and altered, but should not be maligned for the wayward and rebellious cause (not "reason") of wicked defiance and trying to hypocritically or blasphemously justify such.
