It's His To Say

Many of us have said cute things at times, some of which have been downright brilliant thoughts and utterances, if we do say so ourselves.

Perhaps some of our verbalized or written brainstorms, in our opinion, have been phenomenally unique -- something we believe that others should know about - both here and after.

Occasionally, some of our marvelous axioms and insights have been so spectacular, we wonder if we and/or others should not make a Bible out of them, or at least include them in the Sacred-66-books Judeo-Christian (Old-and-New-Testaments) Holy Bible already existing....in various translations, or a new one (to include our almost-divine insights).

Well, what has already been written, copyrighted, and dispersed is not available for alteration of the texts already printed and disseminated in more places than we could imagine. Such, then, is definitely not a viable option.

To concoct a new "bible" translation, which includes our ideas and postulations, is another thing.

Such has already been done, and many times over -- burdening humanity with not only a plethora of New York Times "best sellers" and similar, but even religious texts which sometimes large numbers of people (sometimes even or especially the authors themselves) claim as "divinely inspired" - and therefore mandatory or required reading for everyone presently on the globe plus all those hereafter also.

But alas, the intended or forced universal acceptance of myriad literary conglomerations proves to be limited and not accepted, and the extraneous pseudo-masterpiece falls short of that one Divine Judeo-Christian Text already mentioned.

WHO all has given the Sacred-66-canonical-books Judeo-Christian Holy Bible such unique position and predominance?

WHY do orthodox, genuinely-evangelical, true Christians continue to adamantly and discriminatorily maintain such fervent loyalty only to that particular finite-content Text? Is that top place on the pedestal of literary writings perpetuated also by Divine circumstances - which some would merely call repeated, overwhelming, and overpowering "coincidences?"

Luke 20:18 Every one who falls on That Stone (i.e. the Word of God) will be broken to pieces; but when It falls on any one It will grind him to powder."

Scripture itself contains the answer, and that involves the Holy Spirit of Almighty God through Christ Jesus who perfectly inspired and enlightened Biblical-book authors to say exactly what they should have said while not saying anything they should not have said.

First Corinthians 12:11 All these are inspired by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills.

First Thessalonians 2:13 And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received The Word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, THE Word of God, which is at work in you believers.

Second Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness...

Hebrews 2:11 For He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have all one origin. That is why He is not ashamed to call them brethren

So, it is ultimately The Spirit of the Lord who has caused believing and disbelieving humans alike to compose, retain, and maintain the integrity of the entire and precise contents of The Holy Bible, and it is the Spirit of God who compels human authentic Christians to re-assert what He wants to continue to be considered Sacred Text...and nothing else.

So, why am I typing up this webpage...if the totality of Scriptural Text already "has said it all?"

What use is it for me to so labor and convey anything except verbatim Scripture verses to you, the reader?

And what is the sense of preachers making up their own semantically imaginative lectures, commentaries, sermons, and so forth....with additional words not contained within the limited Text of Scripture?

Well, for one thing, they and we are commanded to do so -- applying Scriptural verses to contemporary situations and names and places by the very Bible we so adamantly espouse and adhere to:

Romans 10:15 And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!"

Philippians 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will.

Second Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:
Second Timothy 4:2 preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.

The passage in Philippians above, plainly indicating the "some" preach - is non-defined - which clearly infers that those "some" who preach are not necessarily Paul himself, nor other eyewitness apostles, but instead non-named others than those particular ones.

And being that there is absolutely no indication whatsoever that Timothy himself wrote anything that got put into The Holy Bible...and yet was told to preach the word....obviously makes way for all sorts of legitimate and necessary preaching then AND now (besides that done by Paul and other New-Testament authors, which - again - thus logically applies to bonafide Christian preachers since then and including now).

Another instance relating to this is where the Lord Himself commissioned 'seventy' of His disciples to go out and do the following, with no indication whatever that any of them said or wrote anything that got put into the canon of the Sacred-66-books Holy Bible:

Luke 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to come.
2 And He said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
3 Go your way; hey, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.
16 He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and He who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."
17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"
18 And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 Hey, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.
20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

IF anyone nowadays presumes that what was written in The Holy Bible does not still apply to him or her in these modern times, consider the following salutations and who such [logically, by obvious deductive inference] applies to:

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God
2 which He promised beforehand through His prophets in The Holy Scriptures,
3 the gospel regarding His Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh
4 and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of Holiness by His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations,
6 including yourselves who are called to belong to Jesus Christ;
7 To all God's beloved in Rome [and Rome was and is a big city with a lot of people therein, as are former Romans who re-located and re-settled in Paris, London, Berlin, Moscow, Peking, New York and Los Angeles, etc.], who are called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

First Corinthians 1:24 ....but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks [now we are talking numerous Jews and Greeks and a whole lot of other-nationality progeny from them in every single big and little city and town and elsewhere on the entire planet!]: Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Hebrews 9:15 Therefore [Christ Jesus] is The Mediator of a New Covenant, so that those who are called [and here also we are talking a vast number of Jews and Greeks and other-nationality progeny from them in every single big and little city and town and elsewhere on the entire planet!] may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred which redeems them from the transgressions under the first covenant.

Jude 1:1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James: To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ [now again we are talking a huge group of Christianized Jews and Greeks and other-nationality offspring from them in every single big and little city and town and elsewhere on the entire planet!]

Would you or I really want anything we have said or written be considered an addition to Sacred Scripture?

Everything we think of is either too vulgar, too incidental, subject to constant editing and revision, invariably a somewhat-reworded rather-redundant copy of what we have already thought and read in the Bible...and therefore would be a plagiaristic rehash - if we tried to promote it as being on par with Sacred Text.

That has been the case, for example, with the Koran (or Qur'an), the Book of Mormon, the spurious books of "old and new testament" apocrypha, etc. -- along with legion Bible-mistranslation revisions rife and reeking with all the differing and contradictory-to-each-other English "bible" wordings (and even sundry concocted Greek texts and manuscripts they are based upon).

All of which gets us to people: each of the six billion persons on the planet moving around with slightly different faces, voices, body shapes and sizes - genetically inherited by random reproductive combinations and environmental shaping....innately and inherently programmed allowed by The Creator.

People are certainly not that much different nowadays than when the books of the Bible were authored.

Women are still the approximate same size, with basically the same body parts having the same functioning, and the very-similar response mechanisms.

Both men and women today have the same curiosity, the same awareness and responses to stimuli around them in their environment, the same egotism, arrogant doubts and discontentment, and are constantly on the move busying themselves interacting with peers and others as competitors or means to various self-fulfilling ends.

As with those of civilizations long ago, they dress like those they have seen and admired and pretend to be replications of, and are out to satisfy their instinctual and bodily needs of food, drink, praise, sexual gratification, and specialized intrigue working on an infinite variety of detailed preoccupations.

Over 90% of both men and women in decadent America expose their forearms with short-sleeved shirts or blouses, and/or exhibit their nude legs with shortened skirts or shorts on warm-weather days, and many yet wear sandals in general public view....most without socks underneath (again, reminding us of foregone ancient peoples also having been enslaved to demonic-mandate styles-and-fashions conformity, who likewise were on the immorally indecent broad and easy road to destruction).

Only the toys are different in the 21 century, even though inventions and scientific knowledge have increased (with no effect either way on behavior regarding morality nor concerning immorality).

But human bodies, brains, basic general environment, and everything about modern-day humanity is practically identical to those of Biblical times, way back to our primal parents Adam and Eve.

What does the average man and woman on the street believe about God the Creator? Are they honest with their own senses to admit that there is a Creator far superior to themselves in intelligence, indestructibility, and power?

What do they think of civil laws, especially considering the possibility or probably that such are more-or-less based on The Holy Bible?

What do they think about the possibility or probability of The Hereafter, and eternal existence beyond death? Responsible or irresponsible attitudes and actions relating to perpetual afterlife destinies?

The task of Christian preachers and evangelists is to inform the non-informed about such matters, rather than allow the masses to drudge on in dissatisfied and ultimately self-destructive meaninglessness.
