JewXians

The reader might wonder why I am writing this piece, as to the strange title I am heading it with.

Weaselword equal-rites-immentality nutjobs along with illogical and misinterpretive non-discriminationalist nutcases would cite:

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

as they wrongly take Scripture out of context and twist the Scriptures to their own destruction.

Gratefully aside and apart away from such wacko-goof lunatics, am I trying to convert Christians to Jews? Proselitize Jews to become Christians? Trying to make a new Judeo-Christian-combo religion? Attempting to relate Christians to Jews, or Jews to Christians?

You probably have heard the term "messianic Jews," referring to Jews whose ancestral blood is of one or more of the tribes of Israel, and/or who have taken Judaism as their religion, then have accepted Jesus as their Messiah. One group, among many others, calls themselves: Jews for Jesus.

Within both brands of religion are "jews" and "christians" who are such in name only, who do not take Biblical doctrines typically associated with their religions seriously (if they even consider them at all). Those small-letter jews and christians are people who worship and practice adiaphoric traditions concocted by themselves or by others previously which they themselves continue to practice.

For example, some who certain others could term "adiaphoric jews" might wear black hats, skull caps in synagogues, speak yiddish, allow their females to appear mopheaded in general public view, make up and recite peculiar "jewish" names for certain rituals and objects (e.g. bar and bat mitzvahs, mishnah, talmud, torah, etc.), refer to "rebbies" who pronounce things "kosher," celebrate the superstition of "hannuka," and do not eat pork products.

Some who certain others could term "adiaphoric christians", like adiaphoric jews, might allow their females to appear mopheaded in general public view, chant non-hymnal, projected-screen, pablum-lyrics, "praise-song" ditties (sometimes while holding hands), shake hands with those around them during their worship services to "pass the peace," weekly or occasionally eat wafers and sip tiny cups of wine or grape juice during services, engage in "dedication" or "confirmation" plus "baptism," genuflect or curtsey, cross their hearts, bow on their knees, listen to female lectors or clergy flap their jaws at the altar, and read from questionable modern "bible" translations (such as the NIV, TEV, NAB, etc.).

But what is noteworthy is to compare the doctrines and beliefs of what Scripture calls "true Jews" in BOTH the Old and the New Testaments of The (sacred-66-books) HOLY BIBLE......in contrast to those of the "synagogue of Satan:"

Lev 10:6 And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, "Do not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not rend your clothes, lest you die, and lest wrath come upon all the congregation....

Hos 6:6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God, rather than burnt offerings.

Joel 2:13 and rend your hearts and not your garments." Return to the LORD, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love, and repents of evil.

Amos 5:23 Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen.
24 But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Matt 9:13 Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
Matt 12:7 And if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Rom 2:28 For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.
29 He is a Jew who is one inwardly, and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, spiritual and not literal. His praise is not from men but from God.

Heb 10:1 For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices which are continually offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near.
Heb 10:5 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, "Sacrifices and offerings thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me.....

Rev 2:9 "'I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Re 3:9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and learn that I have loved you.

It should be clear that "true Jews" in the Old Testament were such men as Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, Moses, Samuel, David, Elijah and Elisha, Isaiah and Jeremiah and Ezekiel plus the other minor prophets....and in the New Testament were such men as Matthew, John, Peter and Paul, among others.

Some pseudo-"christian" cults base their religion on the New Testament alone, while in contrast "judaizers" base their beliefs on penis-snipping circumcision for men (and whatever perhaps equivalent for women).

But how exactly are the doctrines of the Old Testament different or unique than those of the New Testament?

It is stated that:

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Is that supposed to infer that falsehood came through Moses? And was not New-Testament-like grace given in the Old Testament proven by such references as:

Num 30:5 But if her father expresses disapproval to her on the day that he hears of it, no vow of hers, no pledge by which she has bound herself, shall stand; and the LORD will forgive her, because her father opposed her.
Num 30:8 But if, on the day that her husband comes to hear of it, he expresses disapproval, then he shall make void her vow which was on her, and the thoughtless utterance of her lips, by which she bound herself; and the LORD will forgive her.

1Ki 8:30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant and of thy people Israel, when they pray toward this place; yea, hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place; and when thou hearest, forgive.

2Ch 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Ps 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin.
Ps 85:2 Thou didst forgive the iniquity of thy people; thou didst pardon all their sin.
Ps 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Jer 31:34 And no longer shall each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."
Jer 33:8 I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.

Eze 16:63 that you may remember and be confounded, and never open your mouth again because of your shame, when I forgive you all that you have done, says the Lord GOD."

Some will state that the Old Testament allows rape, lust, and fornication....but the New Testament does not. Let's see:

Deut 22:21 then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has wrought folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father's house; so you shall purge the evil from the midst of you.

Deut 22:22 "If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman; so you shall purge the evil from Israel.
23 "If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her,
24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor's wife; so you shall purge the evil from the midst of you.
25 "But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.
26 But to the young woman you shall do nothing; in the young woman there is no offense punishable by death, for this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor;
27 because he came upon her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried for help there was no one to rescue her.
28 "If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found,
29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her; he may not put her away all his days.

Deut 23:17 "There shall be no cult prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a cult prostitute of the sons of Israel.

Job 31:1 "I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?
Mt 5:27 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
Mt 5:28 But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Some state that the Old Testament nor the New Testament never indicate the personhood of non-born human womb babies. Let's see:

Ps 139:13 For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother's womb.
Ps 139:16 Thy eyes beheld my unformed substance; in thy book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Luke 1:44 For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.

Some say that the Old Testament allows hate, but Jesus equated hate with murder. Let's see:

Lev 19:17 "You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason with your neighbor, lest you bear sin because of him.

Some say that the Old Testament allowed bills of divorce, but Jesus allowed no divorce. Let's see:

Mal 2:16 "For I hate divorce, says the LORD the God of Israel, and covering one's garment with violence, says the LORD of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless."
Matt 19:9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery."

1Cor 7:10 To the married I give charge, not I but the Lord, that the wife should not separate from her husband
11 (but if she does, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) --and that the husband should not divorce his wife.
15 But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. For God has called us to peace.

Some say that the Old Testament allowed widow Ruth the Moabitess to remarry but disallows others, while the New Testament encourages widows to remarry. Let's see:

Lev 21:14 A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a harlot, these he shall not marry; but he shall take to wife a virgin of his own people,
Num 30:9 But any vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, anything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.

Matt 22:24 saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother must marry the widow, and raise up children for his brother.'
Mt 22:25 Now there were seven brothers among us; the first married, and died, and having no children left his wife to his brother.

Rom 7:2 Thus a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives; but if her husband dies she is discharged from the law concerning the husband.
Ro 7:3 Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she belongs to another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

1Cor 7:39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
40 But in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I have the Spirit of God. But in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I have the Spirit of God.

1Tim 5:11 But refuse to enrol younger-women [Gr. ne(o)teras] widows [Gr. cheras]; for when they grow wanton against Christ they desire to marry,
1Ti 5:12 and so they incur condemnation for having violated their first pledge.

Some say that the Old Testament allows no homosexuality, but the New Testament is more easy going. Let's see:

Lev 20:13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.
1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [Gr. malakoi], nor sodomites [Gr. arsenokoitas],
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Some say that the Old Testament does not allowed Deborah and Esther to rule over men, and the New Testament makes women equal with men. Let's see:

Lev 27:2 "Say to the people of Israel, When a man makes a special vow of persons to the LORD at your valuation,
Le 27:3 then your valuation of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
Le 27:4 If the person is a female, your valuation shall be thirty shekels.
Le 27:5 If the person is from five years old up to twenty years old, your valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels.
Le 27:6 If the person is from a month old up to five years old, your valuation shall be for a male five shekels of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.
Le 27:7 And if the person is sixty years old and upward, then your valuation for a male shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.

Eccl 7:28 .....One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found.
Isa 3:12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.
Nahum 3:13 Hey, your troops are women in your midst. The gates of your land are wide open to your foes; fire has devoured your bars.
1Co 14:34 the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.
1Co 11:3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.

1Tim 2:12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
15 Yet woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty.

Some state that the Old Testament does not deal with the evolution-mythology issue. Let's see:

Gen 1:11 And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so.
Ge 1:12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Ge 1:21 So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Ge 1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Ge 6:20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you, to keep them alive.
Ge 7:14 they and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort.
Job 11:12 But a stupid man will get understanding, when a wild ass's colt is born a man.

1Co 15:39 For not all flesh is alike, but there is one kind for men, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.

Ex 20:11 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.
Ex 31:17 It is a sign for ever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'"

Job 9:9 who made the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the chambers of the south;
Job 38:31 "Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, or loose the cords of Orion?
Amos 5:8 He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning, and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the surface of the earth, the LORD is his name,
1Co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

So, how is the Old Testament discordant and discrepant against the New Testament?

There are some differences, of course.

(1) The name "Jesus" is never found in the Old Testament, although His personally-preferred name of Lord is found in the New Testament.

(2) The Old Testament is certainly more sexually graphic and explicit than the New Testament:

Gen 38:9 But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife he spilled the semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.

Lev 21:20 .....or a hunchback, or a dwarf, or a man with a defect in his sight or an itching disease or scabs or crushed testicles;
Deut 23:1 "He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD.

Lev 15:16 "And if a man has an emission of semen, he shall bathe his whole body in water, and be unclean until the evening.
Le 15:18 If a man lies with a woman and has an emission of semen, both of them shall bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.

Isa 3:17 the Lord will smite with a scab the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will lay bare their secret parts.

Isa 20:4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians captives and the Ethiopians exiles, both the young and the old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Eze 23:3 they played the harlot in Egypt; they played the harlot in their youth; there their breasts were pressed and their virgin nipples squeezed.

(3) The place of the dead stated in the Old Testament was Sheol ("the Pit"), which was a combination of two different places which the New Testament specified as tormenting Hades (which the selfish rich man was aflame within) in stark contrast to blessed and heavenly Paradise (promised to the dying penitent thief on a cross plus transfiguration-participating Moses and Elijah).

(4) Restrictions against eating pork (i.e. pig or swine) and certain seafoods seems to be eased up in the New Testament:

Mark 7:18 And he said to them, "Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him,
19 ....since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?" (Thus He declared all foods clean.)

(5) Nowhere in the New Testament is the practice of sacrificing animals for atonement found, being that:

Acts 21:25 But as for the Gentiles who have believed, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity."

Ro 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
1Co 5:7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed.
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Php 4:18 I have received full payment, and more; I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
Heb 9:26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the age to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Heb 10:12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,
Heb 10:26 For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Heb 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Something crucial and vital needs to be said about certain presumed implications within some of the Bible verses above.

There is only ONE sacrifice that atones against our sins - and that is Christ self-sacrificially dying on a cross to cancel the penalty of all our sins....and that in NO way is substituted for nor supplemented by our "presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice," giving some "fragrant offering" sacrifice to Paul, nor "offering up a sacrifice of praise to God!" What we offer and sacrifice on our own, because of our physical-consequence-effects sin, is a sickening and disgusting mixture of piss-with-pop and poop-with-pudding pollution:

Luke 17:10 So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'"

To presume that we contribute anything to our own salvation with arrogant and proud-snot self-sufficient, justified-by-faith-so-live-like-the-Devil and goody-goody-works self-righteousness is errantly self-justifying blasphemy! As the scribes pointed out:

Mark 2:7 "Why does this man speak thus? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
Luke 5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, "Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?"
Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
14 having canceled the bond which stood against us with its legal demands; this he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Even if we boast about being justified by works per:

James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar?
Jas 2:24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Jas 2:25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

in contrast to:

Rom 4:2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
Gal 2:16 yet who know that a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no one be justified.

we should understand that:

James 1:17 Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
