The reader might wonder why inclusion of the word Harem in the title above - among wondering other things about the title also.

It is interesting to note that in the primal Garden of Eden, according to the Biblical record of Genesis in the Old Testament of The Holy Bible, both "Adam" and "Eve" were initially not only totally naked while completely shameless, but also in a state and condition of married right from the start:

Genesis 2:25 And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed.

His? Wife?

No wedding ceremony has been recorded in Genesis, perhaps because none ever took place:

Genesis 2:20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.
21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh;
22 and the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man He made into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Even though neither formerly-nude Adam and his formerly-naked wife Eve had father and mother, a moral directive is here given in the second chapter of the entire Bible to disassociate away from whatever family of future progenie would come into existence - for the purpose of a man "cleaving" to "his" "wife" resulting in them "becoming one flesh."

Elaboration of prohibiting interpersonal familial nudity within each family is found later on in Scripture:

Leviticus 18:7 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
8 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.
9 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad.
10 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son's daughter or of your daughter's daughter, for their nakedness is your own nakedness.
11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife's daughter, begotten by your father, since she is your sister.
12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister; she is your father's near kinswoman.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, for she is your mother's near kinswoman.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother, that is, you shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; she is your brother's nakedness.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and of her daughter, and you shall not take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to uncover her nakedness; they are your near kinswomen; it is wickedness.

Leviticus 20:19 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister or of your father's sister, for that is to make naked one's near kin; they shall bear their iniquity.

The question of where the awareness of, shame for, and restriction against public nudity originated is answered by the following Biblical passages:

Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

Genesis 3:11 He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"
Genesis 3:10 And he said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
Matthew 25:36 I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.'

Genesis 3:21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins, and clothed them.

All the above, in view of the first imperative and prediction given to humanity and their offspring:

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

...said before Adam and Eve became clothed, plus:

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. Genesis 9:7 And you, be fruitful and multiply, bring forth abundantly on the earth and multiply in it."

....said twice (for emphasis, especially to counter future overpopulationist nutjobs) and after Adam and Eve became clothed.

Now, we post-Fall humans have a tendency to speculate, and this human (and possibly you, the reader), is no exception.

We all can ascertain how difficult it would be to reproductively multiply sexually, per God's first command to us, while clothed. In fact, there might even be inadequate incentive for us to want to procreate if not for exposed nudity - although that is questionable in our already-defiled-after-the-Fall minds...both because of the remembrance of previous nudity seen and the effect such had on us, plus the capacity and availability of us undressing ourselves and each other to total barity.

The question the Lord asked: "Who told you that you were naked?" deserves a non-rhetoric thought-through answer...but no answer is ever given to the query. Would a specific answer even had mattered? It seems that such had already occurred automatically, regardless of who supposedly told whoever whatever.

Indeed, the answer that Adam gave back to God is telling, and actually does appear an automatic reaction to eating The Forbidden Fruit of the Garden. "...I was afraid, because I was naked" -- all said without hearing Eve's point of view or explanation.

Curiously, words alone not only expressed inner thoughts, but prohibitory action had already being undertaken by the newly-shamed primal couple, by they themselves sewing together and applying fig-leaf jock-strap-equivalent thongs to themselves (even though they were a married couple in private alone together).

Fascinating it is that the Fruit-taking-and-ingesting Forbidden Act did not promptly dissolve their marriage of being husband and wife, but did have an immediate effect on their cognizance of nudity.

Jeremiah 6:15 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown," says the LORD.
Jeremiah 8:12 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among the fallen; when I punish them, they shall be overthrown, says the LORD.

Also intriguing it is that God did not reprimand fallen-into-sin thong-attired Adam and thong-attired Eve for applying fig-leaf g-strings to themselves, nor did He order them to remove such obstructions to multiplying. In fact, He amplified the anti-copulative insertions-obstructing-and-preventing attire by not simply making for the primal couple "garments of skins" but also then personally "clothing" them in their possible perplexity pertaining to such (whether a happy or sad experience for our first ancestral parents to undergo). Such clothing could have included not immodest toes-baring sandals without socks, but rather moccasins with socks, along with full-length robes with long sleeves and full-length legs covering (with a shawl for Eve's loose long hair).

As previously mentioned, fully-clothed Noah and his fully-clothed mixed-gender immediate family were told to "multiply" -- which multiplying invaribly involves temporary and occasional denuding to facilitate the desire for and operational performance of human heterosexual reproduction. The accumulating and cumulative effects of generation sinning, acquired from the sordid example of previous tribal ancestors, eventually necessitated laws against incest, and the craving to both shamefully and shamelessly uncover and view and enjoy the shameful and shameless nakedness of neighbors continued as Earth's human population grew.

Except for the Old-Testament book of The Song of Solomon, heterosexual disrobing of women by men is not alluded to favorably, and whatever is inferred as transpiring is not graphically described. Even in Song, the husband simply describes his bride's body parts without specifically mentioning whether or not they are covered with clothing and without revealing his previous or ongoing actions to possibly uncover such for obvious erotic pleasure narrated therein:

Jeremiah 2:25 Keep your feet from going unshod and your throat from thirst. But you said, 'It is hopeless, for I have loved strangers, and after them I will go.'

Hosea 2:2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, and I am not her husband....that she put away her harlotry from her face, and her adultery from between her breasts;

What can legally be done against defiantly belligerant persons, especially female humans, who flagrantly ignore and disregard Biblical admonitions for general-public modesty?

Song of Solomon 2:15 Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.

An interpretation of that could be: 'Arrest and jail whoever younger-human-female exhibitionists, especially during seasonably warm days, who - because of them illicitly flaunting mopheadedness, nude arms and legs, naked toes....impose and constitute predatorily-abusive sexual harassment and assault....adversely interfering with potential and developing romantic relationships for those getting involved in dating, courtship, engagement, and marriage.'

Serious retaliation is predicted:

Ezekiel 16:36 Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because your shame was laid bare and your nakedness uncovered in your harlotries with your lovers, and because of all your idols, and because of the [aborted] blood of your children that you gave to them,
37 therefore, hey, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you took pleasure, all those you loved and all those you loathed; I will gather them against you from every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.
38 And I will judge you as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy.
39 And I will give you into the hand of your lovers, and they shall throw down your vaulted chamber and break down your lofty places; they shall strip you of your clothes and take your fair jewels, and leave you naked and bare.
40 They shall bring up a host against you, and they shall stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords.
41 And they shall burn your houses and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women; I will make you stop playing the harlot, and you shall also give hire no more.
42 So will I satisfy my fury on you, and my jealousy shall depart from you; I will be calm, and will no more be angry.

The far-reaching lamentable effects of partial to more severe indecent exposure of all kinds under all sorts of conditions for all types of demonic irrationalizations are extremely unfortunate and deplorable.

"After all," they continue, "should one be ashamed of their God-given bodies?" -- which sounds like overbroad-blatterer Satan in the Garden:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God say, 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?"

NO -- one should not be ashamed of their God-given body, but one should be ashamed of indecently and immodestly exhibiting, in mixed-gender general public view, whatever parts of that God-given body one must not display under those circumstances:

First Corinthians 12:23 ....and those parts of the body which we think less honorable we invest with the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,
24 which our more presentable parts [i.e. face and hands] do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior part,
25 that there may be no discord in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

There are some instances, such as certain non-erotic occupational or harsh climactic conditions, which necessitate wearing of more clothes than usual:

Judges 8:30 Now Gideon had seventy sons, his own offspring, for he had many wives.

Ecclesiastes 2:8 I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces; I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, man's delight.

Although not an explicit male command given a female to strip, the intentions of sensual desire are expressed with:

Song of Solomon 2:14 Oh my dove, in the clefts of the rock ["take it home" to "get it on"], in the covert of the cliff [enclosed and private, out of general public view], let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is attractive.

Nudity-accentuated passion has its initial and ongoing ramifications:

Exodus 22:16 If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall give the marriage present for her, and make her his wife.

Leviticus 21:14 A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a harlot, these [the high priest] shall not marry; but he shall take to wife a virgin of his own people

Job 31:1 I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?

Isaiah 62:5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

Ezekiel 44:21 No priest shall drink wine, when he enters the inner court.
Ezekiel 44:22 They shall not marry a widow, or a divorced woman, but only a virgin of the stock of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest.

Yet, such diversion to substitutionary porn is clearly a path to species extinction, and makes for unfulfilled humans of both genders in the short and long run. Moreover, Biblical exhortations condemn such diversion to "impurity" - with Hell as final punishment for lusting with such porno-idolatry. There is a better way, which must be financially and circumstantially accomodated and provided for, to short-circuit, alleviate, and increasingly eradicate seasonal-and-other live-female-human immodesty, consequential no-direct-romantic-relationship non-physical-contact female-based/male-human-used porn, and Hell:

7 I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own special gift from God, one of one kind and one of another.
8 To virgins and widows I say that it is well for them to remain single as I do.
9 But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be overcome with sexual desire.

First Timothy 2:8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
9 also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in decent apparel, not with broided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire

13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;

First Timothy 5:14 So I would have younger women marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the enemy no cause to revile us.
First Timothy 5:15 For some have already strayed after Satan.

One final thing. The admirable platitudes and postulations stated in letters above is important, but no substitute for actually, operationally, and behaviorally doing what has been declared...and if such is not done, the aforementioned problems and consequences will continue and go into effect.

What if there is noble regret and remorse for past immodesties, but the offender asks God for forgiveness - claiming atonement for the sake of Christ Jesus? Is that a hideously-injust cheap copout, in no way making up for the grievous harm done?

Well, no. First of all, such confession necessitates a basic humbling belief in the Lord and embarrassing associated declaration thereof, admitting that the offense committed was not "performed" but instead was actual "sin" -- not merely another amoral instance of optional alternative lifestyle, that authentic rectification intention really exists, and that bonafide reconciliatory absolution (though retaining consequential scars) with the Almighty is not only possible or even probable, but expected and viable:

First John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
