Only One Way

As we approach the holiday season of Yuletide - with all the pine trees, presents, commercializing carols, bulbs and colorful lights - we again are burdened with another annual imposition of the superstitious jewish fable of purported-"miraculous-oil" Hanukkah/Chanukkah . . . but reminding the faithful of the actual historical account of real miraculous oil supplied within the bowels of PART of sacred Scripture (in this case, within the so-called "Jewish" Bible -- which in fact is the 39-book OLD Testament):

First Kings 17:12 And she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of meal in a jar, and a little oil in a cruse; and now, I am gathering a couple of sticks, that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die."
First Kings 17:14 For thus says the LORD the God of Israel, 'The jar of meal shall not be spent, and the cruse of oil shall not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.'"
First Kings 17:16 The jar of meal was not spent, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD which he spoke by Elijah.

A companion historical account is:

Second Kings 4: 1 Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, "Your servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant feared the LORD, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves."
2 And Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?" And she said, "Your maidservant has nothing in the house, except a jar of oil."
3 Then he said, "Go outside, borrow vessels of all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few.
4 Then go in, and shut the door upon yourself and your sons, and pour into all these vessels; and when one is full, set it aside."
5 So she went from him and shut the door upon herself and her sons; and as she poured they brought the vessels to her.
6 When the vessels were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another vessel." And he said to her, "There is not another." Then the oil stopped flowing.
7 She came and told the man of God, and he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on the remainder."

Gives additional meaning to:

Deuteronomy 33:24 And of Asher [Jacob] said, "Blessed above sons be Asher; let him be the favorite of his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.

Listen up, Chevron and BP, Shell and Mobil.

So don't blame Jews for being prosperous and being in charge of the money, wherever and whenever and however. Obviously, their Lord has empowered them to so be. With that Divine financial-resupply Source enabling them, they are clearly destined to not financially fail into bankrupted subordination to those around them.

But who were Elijah and Elisha? "Jews?" "Israelis?" "Hebrews?"

It behooves us to ascertain when such words were first used within the Divinely-inspired annals of Holy Writ, which is vital in determining whether so-called "palestinians" (properly termed: 'anti-Zionists') . . . or instead those descended from Abraham and Isaac and Jacob (not Abram, Ishmael, and Esau) . . . own the territory within the geographic boundaries described in Ezekiel chapter 47.

Here is the first reference in the entire RSV Bible to the word "Jew:"

Esther 2:5 Now there was a Jew in Susa the capital whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjaminite,
3:4 And when they spoke to him day after day and he would not listen to them, they told Haman, in order to see whether Mordecai's words would avail; for he had told them that he was a Jew.
5:13 Yet all this does me no good, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate."
6:10 Then the king said to Haman, "Hurry, take the robes and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew who sits at the king's gate. Leave out nothing that you have mentioned."
8:7 Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, "Hey, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows, because he would lay hands on the Jews.

And here is the very first instance of use of the word "Hebrew" in the entire 66-books Judeo-Christian (i.e. Hebrew) Holy Bible:

Genesis 14:13 Then one who had escaped came, and told Abram the Hebrew, who was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and of Aner; these were allies of Abram.

Note that "Abram" is called a "Hebrew" before God changed his name to "Abraham."

The first Scriptural occurrence of the word "Israel" is as follows:

Genesis 32:28 Then He said, "Your name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed."
35:10 And God said to him, "Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name." So his name was called Israel.
35:21 Israel journeyed on, and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder.

God repeated Jacob's new name twice, for emphasis.

But neither Abram the Hebrew, nor Isaac nor Jacob/Israel were the first to communicate with God (all of who existed before Mordecai the Jew):

Genesis 3:13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate."

Genesis 6:13 And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all flesh; for the earth is filled with violence through them; behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Keep in mind that the obvious importance of faith-rich Noah, whose Ark saved all of humankind on planet Earth, was clearly greater than Hebrew Abram, Jacob/Israel, and Mordecai the Jew.

But let's get back to whether so-called-"palestinian" anti-Zionists - or instead blood-descendant offspring of Abram/Abraham and Isaac and Jacob/Israel - own Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, the West Bank, Hebron, Bethlehem -- whatever is within the boundaries described in Ezekiel chapter 47.

Deuteronomy 9:5 Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land; but because of the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God is driving them out from before you, and that He may confirm the word which the LORD solemnly promised to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Deuteronomy 9:27 Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not regard the stubbornness of this people, or their wickedness, or their sin,
Deuteronomy 29:13 that He may establish you this day as His people, and that He may be your God, as He promised you, and as He gave oath to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

There are some subversives within the present State of Israel who - clearly contrary to plainly-stated intentions of the LORD - advocate compromising with God's anti-Zionist enemies by giving Divinely-apportioned land to them, demonically possessed the ridiculous presumption (not assumption) that "the coming Messiah will get our land back and give it to us eventually anyway." Sarcastically speaking, the Messiah would have to resurrect the dead bodies of those despicable fear-of-man cowards who were made homeless and executed by the aforemention enemies who were given land which never and did not belong to them.

Terrorists cannot be trusted, and should not be rewarded.

Matthew 7:6 Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man lays a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD is safe.
Jeremiah 1:17 But you, dress up your loins; get up, and say to them everything that I command you. Do not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them.
Ezekiel 2:6 And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit upon scorpions; be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

Should those who encounter and confront anti-Zionists (i.e. so-called "palestinians") be frightened and afraid so as to give up their God-given holy land?

Deuteronomy 1:17 You shall not be partial in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike; you shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's; and the case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.'
2:4 And command the people, You are about to pass through the territory of your brethren the sons of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So watch out;
7:18 . . . you shall not be afraid of them, but you shall remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt,
18:22 . . . when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him.
20:1 When you go forth to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

Joshua 10:25 And Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid or dismayed; be strong and of good courage; for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight."
Joshua 11:6 And the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them, for tomorrow at this time I will give over all of them, slain, to Israel; you shall hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire."

Second Kings 19:6 Isaiah said to them, "Say to your master, 'Thus says the LORD: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled me.

Second Kings 25:24 And Gedaliah swore to them and their men, saying, "Do not be afraid because of the Chaldean officials; dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you."

Nehemiah 4:14 And I looked, and got up, and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes."
Nehemiah 6:13 For this purpose he was hired, that I should be afraid and act in this way and sin, and so they could give me an evil name, in order to taunt me.

Job 19:29 . . . be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishment of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.

Psalm 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 112:8 His heart is steady, he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire on his adversaries.

Proverbs 3:24 If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Isaiah 12:2 Hey, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."
Isaiah 37:6 Isaiah said to them, "Say to your master, 'Thus says the LORD: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled me.
Isaiah 44:8 "Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any."

Jeremiah 40:9 Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, swore to them and their men, saying, "Do not be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

Ezekiel 2:6 "And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit upon scorpions; be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 2:7 And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear; for they are a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 2:8 But you, son of man, hear what I say to you; be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth, and eat what I give you."

Speaking of "the Messiah," both jews and Christian anticipate the eventual "coming of Messiah" - but in the case of the jews destined for damnation it would be a first coming, while in the case of genuine Christians (and TRUE Jews) it is instead a second coming, or return in glory of the one-and-only already-having-come-Messiah Jesus Christ (i.e. He who comes in the name of the Lord).

On a related subject, it is crucial to get certain things straight - especially with reference to death and eternal destinies.

When persons die, their spirits (like those of animals) return to their Creator:

Ecclesiastes 12:7 . . . and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

But in the case of humans, their additional components comes into a state of being described as for-the-evil-and-the-good Sheol in the Old Testament:

First Samuel 2:6 The LORD kills and brings to life; He brings down to Sheol and raises up.

Job 7:9 As the cloud fades and vanishes, so he who goes down to Sheol does not come up;
Job 14:13 Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would conceal me until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!

Psalm 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who can give you praise?
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall depart to Sheol, all the nations who forget God.
Psalm 16:10 For you do not give me up to Sheol, or let your godly one see the Pit.
Ps 89:48 What man can live and never see death? Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol?
Psalm 139:8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

Isaiah 28:15 Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement; when the overwhelming scourge passes through it will not come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter";
Isaiah 28:18 Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through you will be beaten down by it.
Isaiah 38:10 I said, In the noontide of my days I must depart; I am consigned to the gates of Sheol for the rest of my years.

Ezekiel 32:21 The mighty chiefs shall speak of them, with their helpers, out of the midst of Sheol: 'They have come down, they lie still, the non-circumcised, slain by the sword.'

Amos 9:2 Though they dig into Sheol, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down.
Jonah 2:2 . . . I called to the LORD, out of my distress, and He answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you did hear my voice.

The very last use of the word "Sheol" in the entire sacred-66-books Holy Bible is found in:

Habakkuk 2:5 Moreover, wine is treacherous; the arrogant man shall not stay around. His greed is as wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough. He gathers for himself all nations, and collects as his own all peoples."

There is an ominous warning in the Old Testament about attempting to speak with the dead (whether during a catholic "church" service to the long-deceased virgin Mary, or with some other deceased one during a seance):

Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, any one who practices divination, a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer,
11 or a charmer, or a medium, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD; and because of these abominable practices the LORD your God is driving them out before you.
13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.
14 For these nations, which you are about to dispossess, give heed to soothsayers and to diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you so to do.

Other than the apostles-watched vision of the Lord Jesus talking with Moses and Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration, whether it was possible to speak to those consigned to Sheol (the abode of the dead) and such non-vision actual communication in fact ever happened historically, is questionable:

First Samuel 28:5 When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "Hey, there is a medium at Endor."
8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other garments, and went, he and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Divine for me by a spirit, and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you."
9 The woman said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the wizards from the land. Why then are you laying a snare for my life to bring about my death?"
10 But Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."
11 Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" He said, "Bring up Samuel for me."
12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice; and the woman said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul."
13 The king said to her, "Have no fear; what do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a god coming up out of the earth."
14 He said to her, "What is his appearance?" And she said, "An old man is coming up; and he is wrapped in a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
15 Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" Saul answered, "I am in great distress; for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams; therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do."
16 And Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has turned from you and become your enemy?
17 The LORD has done to you as he spoke by me; for the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand, and given it to your neighbor, David.
18 Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD, and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day.
19 Moreover the LORD will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines; and tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me; the LORD will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines."
20 Then Saul fell at once full length upon the ground, filled with fear because of the words of Samuel; and there was no strength in him, for he had eaten nothing all day and all night.
21 And the woman came to Saul, and when she saw that he was terrified, she said to him, "Hey, your handmaid has complied with you; I have taken my life in my hand, and have responded to what you have said to me."

The New Testament gives us a clearer portrait of what the Old-Testament called "Sheol" (or abode of the dead, whether righteous or wicked):

For the righteous:

Matthew 17:3 And hey, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with [Jesus].
Luke 9:30 And hey, two men talked with Him, Moses and Elijah . . .

[ Both Moses and Elijah had been dead for centuries at the time ]

Luke 23:43 And He said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

Second Corinthians 12:3 And I know that this man was caught up into Paradise - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows

Who knows what the duce St Paul was talking about there.

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.'

For the wicked:

Luke 16:23 . . . and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus in his bosom.

Acts 2:27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor let your Holy One see corruption.
Acts 2:31 he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.

Clearly, Christ (who did descend into The Pit, or Sheol) did NOT descend into the torment of Hades (even momentarily) - contrary to what the so-called "Apostles Creed" mis-states.

Revelation 1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand upon me, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last, Revelation 1:18 and the living one; I died, and hey, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
Revelation 6:8 And I saw, and hey, a pale horse, and its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done (not simply their faith or lack of it).
Revelation 20:14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;
Revelation 20:15 and if any one's name was not found written in The Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

One more thing.

To presume that God not only has the stated option of either consigning the good to Heaven and the evil to Hell, but also of annihilating all components of a person's being out of further existence, is a satanic presumption (not "assumption") of a person who, like Lucifer, vainly imagines that He can if not overpower or "checkmate" God, at least make Him call it a "draw" as in a game of checkers.

Such a hallucinatory mis-attitude of potential annihilation is completely incompatible with the following Scripture verses:

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my service I would wait, till my release should come.
Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last He will stand upon the earth;
Job 19:26 and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then from my flesh I shall see God,
Job 19:27 whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall observe and contemplate, and not another. My heart faints within me!

Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down to the earth?
Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward; but the memory of them is lost.

Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth and look on the dead bodies of the men that have rebelled against me; for their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.
Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live, their bodies shall rise. Oh dwellers in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and on the land of the shades you will let it fall.

Daniel 12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 11:24 Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise in the resurrection at the last day."

Second Thessalonians 1:9 They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might

Revelation 14:9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If any one worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
Revelation 14:10 he also shall drink the wine of God's wrath, poured unmixed into the cup of His anger, and He shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
Revelation 20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.

WILL there be a resurrection of humans?

Matthew 22:23 The same day Sadducees came to Him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked Him a question,
Matthew 22:28 In the resurrection, therefore, to which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her."
Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Matthew 27:53 . . . and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Mark 12:18 And Sadducees came to Him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked Him a question, saying,
Mark 12:23 In the resurrection whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife."

Luke 14:14 and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

Luke 16:22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried;
23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.'
25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.'
27 And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house,
28 for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.'
30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if some one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
31 He said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if some one should rise from the dead.'"

Luke 20:27 There came to Him some Sadducees [they were sad, you see], those who say that there is no resurrection,
33 In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? For the seven had her as wife."
34 And Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage;
35 but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage,
36 for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.
38 Now He is not God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to Him."

Luke 24:5 . . . and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

Luke 24:45 Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures,
Luke 24:46 . . . and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead

John 2:22 When therefore He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this; and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
John 5:29 and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of [death].
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.

Acts 1:22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when He was taken up from us . . . one of these men must become with us a witness to His resurrection."
2:31 he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
4:2 . . . annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
4:33 And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
17:18 Some also of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers met him. And some said, "What would this babbler say?" Others said, "He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities" - because he preached Jesus and the resurrection.
17:32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; but others said, "We will hear you again about this."
23:6 But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council,
"Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead I am on trial."
23:8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.
24:15 . . . having a hope in God which these themselves accept, that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the injust.
24:21 . . . except this one thing which I cried out while standing among them, 'With respect to the resurrection of the dead I am on trial before you this day.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God
Romans 1:2 which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy scriptures,
Romans 1:3 the gospel regarding (NOT "concerning") His Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh
Romans 1:4 and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord

Romans 6:5 For if we have been united with Him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His.

First Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
First Corinthians 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.

So we authentic Christians do not 'fear' God simply in the sense of "respecting" or "honoring" Him:

Job 23:1 Then Job answered:
2 "Today also my complaint is bitter, his hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.
3 Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, that I might come even to His seat!
4 I would lay my case before Him and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 I would learn what He would answer me, and understand what He would say to me.
6 Would He contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; he would pay attention to me.
7 There an upright man could reason with Him, and I should be acquitted forever by my judge.
8 Hey, I go forward, but He is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive Him;
9 on the left hand I seek Him, but I cannot detect Him; I turn to the right hand, but I cannot see Him.
10 But He knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and have not turned aside.
12 I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured in my bosom the words of his mouth.
13 But He is unchangeable and who can turn Him? What He desires, that He does.
14 For He will complete what He appoints for me; and many such things are in His mind.
15 Therefore I am terrified at His presence; when I consider, I am in dread of Him.
16 God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me."

Yet, we are ordered to communicate with the One who we are fearfully terrified and in dread of, and enlightened just how to do that:

Hebrews 7:19 (for The Law made nothing perfect); on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
Hebrews 7:25 Consequently He is able for all time to save those who draw near to God through Him (i.e. THE Divine Sacrificial-Lamb Atonement, Jesus Christ - THE one-and-only redeeming Son of God), since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists [makes sense!] and that He rewards those who seek Him [also makes sense!].
James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you men of double mind.
