Polygams

From the [first] Old-Testament book of Genesis, as early as chapter four thereof:

Genesis 4:19 And Lamech took two wives; the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

. . . to the [last] New-Testament book of Revelation:

Revelation 7:2 Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea,
3 saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads."
4 And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, out of every tribe of the sons of Israel,
5 twelve thousand sealed out of the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand of the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand of the tribe of Gad,
6 twelve thousand of the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand of the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand of the tribe of Manasseh,
7 twelve thousand of the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand of the tribe of Issachar,
8 twelve thousand of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand of the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand sealed out of the tribe of Benjamin.

. . . it is quite evident that the entire Sacred-66-books Holy Bible is based on a foundation of patriarchal polygamy -- in that the "sons of Israel" mentioned in Revelation chapter 7 verse 4 were conceived and birthed by four [Hebrew?] women:

Genesis 29:24 Laban gave his maid Zilpah to his daughter Leah to be her maid.
29:29 Laban gave his maid Bilhah to his daughter Rachel to be her maid.
30:3 Then she said, "Here is my maid Bilhah; go in to her, that she may bear upon my knees, and even I may have children through her."
30:4 So she gave [Jacob] her maid Bilhah as a wife; and Jacob went in to her.
30:5 And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.
30:7 Rachel's maid Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.
30:9 When Leah saw that she had ceased bearing children, she took her maid Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.
30:10 Then Leah's maid Zilpah bore Jacob a son.
30:11 And Leah said, "Good fortune!" so she called his name Gad.
30:12 Leah's maid Zilpah bore Jacob a second son.
35:25 The sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maid: Dan and Naphtali.
35:26 The sons of Zilpah, Leah's maid: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddanaram.
46:18 (these are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter; and these she bore to Jacob: sixteen persons).
46:25 (these are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob: seven persons in all).

Such a recorded history of Hebrews (God's Chosen People) might seem perplexing to americans -- rife and reeking with human-tradition "legality" enforcing monogamy laws of moody and non-predictable, headache-prone, and menstrual-periods-unavailable sexist feminists (both inside and outside of religious and irreligious groups and associations and organizations) selfishly demanding that their husbands remain monogamous with them only.

Such tyrannical monogamy (the purported "law of the land" throughout the United States and similar locations), insisted on by aforementioned jealous-against-intruders female chauvinists apprehensive about losing husband income and living-expenses support and inheritances, can obviously be quasi-legally bypassed by alternate-female-sex-partners-desiring men (who are desperate for prompt and consistent and complete visual and tactile erotic companionship) who lamentably relinquish to acquiring a copious current plethora of easily-accessible, no-cost-nor-charge-nor-obligation, sharp-resolution-and-true-color galleries of quasi-harem-equivalent, birthday-suit-naked, R-to-XXX porno-pics-and-vids images of young/eager/attractive cute-faced-and-shapely inferior-gender teens and older beauties downloaded and saved [ that is: retained ] from the internet on hard drives, CD ROM disks, and flashdrives . . . some of which [ Google nude-sex search-words in Search Box found ] hotlinks can be communicated with real-time (i.e. live) on Skype-type mutual-camcorders-connected chat interactions using the Web . . . not to mention physically cavorting discreetly with well-advertised readily-available downtown and suburban live-body masseuses and escorts claiming to sexually satisfy whatever a male customer is willing to pay for (while surveillance pimps and cops peruse all transpiring particulars).

But what may be most difficult to reconcile, regarding the extensive recorded history of Lamech, prominent-patriarch Abraham (genitalizing Sarah and Hagar), Gideon (genitalizing his many wives), Bible-books-author and ancestral-progenitor-of-Jesus King David (genitalizing his five wives and ten concubines), and Bible-books-author Solomon, and so on . . . is the apparently-contrary-and-starkly-contrasting repeated implication of heterosexual monogamy being THE basic and usual modus operandi for most men (and of course, always-monogamous women):

Genesis 2:21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh;
22 and the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.

It is logical, to be sure, why there was singularity of only one wife in the case of Adam, because Eve was all God made for the guy at the time: He did not create two or more for Mr. Adam to conjugate with. Since then, though, we men have more to accumulate:

Genesis 6:1 When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
Genesis 6:2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose.
Numbers 5:31 The man (sons of God) shall be free from iniquity, but the woman (daughters of men) shall bear her iniquity [ see First Timothy 2:14 ].
Genesis 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My spirit shall not stay in humans forever, for they are flesh, but their days shall be a hundred and twenty years."
5 The LORD saw that the wickedness of humans was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of their hearts heart were only evil continually.
6 And the LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to His heart.
7 So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground, man and beast and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

And though the Lord had spoken a limit to the lifespans of humans to 120 years, Noah lived much longer than that, and so it is plain that it took a while for God's declared lifespan time limit concerning humans to kick in, just as it took a while for the death of Eve to fully develop after the moment she ate The Forbidden Fruit. It all did not happen completely and suddenly at at once right ont the spot.

Required monogamy for the woman, in sharp contrast to the man, is intriguing:

First Corinthians 7:39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
First Corinthians 7:40 But in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I have the Spirit of God.

Romans 7:2 For the married woman was bound by law to the living husband. But if the husband is dead, she is set free from the law of her husband.
Romans 7:3 So then if, while her husband lives, she belongs to another man, she shall be called an adulteress...

First Timothy 5:9 Let a widow [ Gr. ch(e)ras ] be enrolled if she is not less than sixty years of age [when Social Security should start, according to Leviticus 27:7), having been the wife of one husband;
10 and she must be well attested for her good works (not "faith alone!"), as one who has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, relieved the afflicted, and devoted herself to doing good in every way.
11 But refuse to enroll younger-women [ Gr. ne(o)teras ] widows [ Gr. ch(e)ras ]; for when they grow wanton against Christ they desire to marry,
12 and so they incur condemnation for having violated their first [ already been married before ] pledge.
13 Besides that, they learn to be idlers, gadding about from house to house, and not only idlers but gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not.
14 So I would have younger women [ NOT "widows," being that the Greek word is, as in verse 11, ne(o)teras with NO inclusion nor reasonable-contextual inference of the Greek word ch(e)ras ] marry, bear children [ forget the spermicides and day-after pills ], manage their households, and give the enemy no cause to revile us.
15 For some have already strayed after Satan [ postponing marriage for pompous-feminist "educated" careers while fornicating now and then on the side with so-called "birth"-"control" condoms and abortion homicide even to "get ahead" in competitive rank as occasionally-wicked single persons ].

Matthew 19:3 And the Pharisees came to Him, tempting Him and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?"
4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning "made them male and female,"
5 and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave father and mother and shall cling to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh?'
6 Therefore they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
7 They said to Him, "Why did Moses then command to give a bill of divorce and to put her away?"
8 He said to them, "Because of your hard-heartedness Moses allowed you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is put away commits adultery.
10 His disciples said to Him, "If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not good to marry [ because if she screws up, the cheated-on guy cannot marry someone else without being mis-labeled an "adulterer," or a guy who has already married a divorced woman is an automatic adulterer even though he himself did not actually and physically commit adultery ]."
11 But He said to them, Not all receive this word, except those to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs who were born so from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Some men cannot reproduce because they were born that way, some cannot reproduce because they were castrated, and some have willfully chosen to not reproduce for whatever cause. And adultery-by-divorce is like being unable or unwilling to reproduce?

Mark 10:2 And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"
3 He answered them, "What did Moses command you?"
4 They said, "Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away."
5 But Jesus said to them, "For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
6 But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.'
7 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
8 and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh.
9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man pull apart."
10 And in the house the disciples asked Him again about this matter.
11 And He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery against her;
12 and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything [ including private nude strip-show dancing, modeling, and/or performing fellatio ].
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it,
26 that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water [ bathe that wife - it's fun! ] by the Word,
27 that He might present it to Himself as the glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh [ Luke 14:26 = whoever does not hate even his own life cannot be My disciple ], but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord loves the church.
30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
31 "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh."
32 This is a great mystery [ especially in the case of a man having more than one sex-partner wife or concubine ], but I speak regarding Christ and the church.
33 But also let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself, and the wife that she defers to her husband.

And yet, the entire Scripture (from Genesis to Revelation) is strangely(?) [ but wonderfully! ] devoid of ANY condemnation from the Lord against a man being in a state of marriage (but being married, mind you - not fornicating or adulterizing ] to multiple women who are all living simultaneously:

Genesis 25:6 But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward to the east country.

Deuteronomy 21:15 If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other disliked, and they have borne him children, both the loved and the disliked, and if the first-born son is hers that is disliked,
16 then on the day when he assigns his possessions as an inheritance to his sons, he may not treat the son of the loved as the first-born in preference to the son of the disliked, who is the first-born,
17 but he shall acknowledge the first-born, the son of the disliked, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the first issue of his strength; the right of the first-born is his.

First Samuel 1:2 [Elkanah] had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. And Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

No mention that they were Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ Mormon polygamous. NOR non-married "mistresses."

First Samuel 27:3 And David lived with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, and David with his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail of Carmel, Nabal's widow.
First Samuel 30:5 David's two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel.

Second Samuel 5:13 And David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he came from Hebron; and more sons and daughters were born to David.
15:16 So the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten concubines to keep the house.
16:21 Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you have made yourself odious to your father, and the hands of all who are with you will be strengthened."
16:22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom upon the roof; and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
19:5 Then Joab came into the house to the king, and said, "You have today covered with shame the faces of all your servants, who have this day saved your life, and the lives of your sons and your daughters, and the lives of your wives and your concubines,
20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten concubines whom he had left to care for the house, and put them in a house under guard, and provided for them, but did not go in to them. So they were shut up until the day of their death, living as if in widowhood.

First Chronicles 4:5 Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives, Helah and Naarah

Second Chronicles 24:2 And Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.
3 Jehoiada got for him two wives, and he had sons and daughters.
4 After this Joash decided to restore the house of the LORD.

First Kings 11:3 [Solomon] had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.
Deuteronomy 17:17 And he shall not multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply for himself silver and gold.
First Kings 10:14 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six [ 666?] talents of gold,
10:16 King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went into each shield.
10:17 And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went into each shield; and the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
10:18 The king also made a great ivory throne, and overlaid it with the finest gold.
10:21 All King Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver, it was not considered as anything in the days of Solomon.

Ecclesiastes 2:8 I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces; I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, man's delight.

First Timothy 3:2 Now a bishop must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, dignified, hospitable, an apt teacher,
First Timothy 3:12 Let deacons be the husband of one wife, and let them manage their children and their households well;

Notice that the Holy Spirit, through His human author Saint Paul, ordered ONLY bishops and deacons to be: "the husband of one wife."

The Lord never required that for every Christian man (despite what feminist and male-feminist-patsy apostate infidels claim to the contrary . . . which heretics sometimes also mis-translate the husband of one wife phrase to mis-read: "married only once" -- which the exact Greek-word Text in no way states nor supports nor infers nor insinuates).

Thus, the LORD never once forbade men from being in a state of marriage to more than one woman (be she wife or concubine) simultaneously.

It appears that, in many of the polygamy cases recorded in the Old Testament, the primary wife (and, interestingly enough, each patriarch had one! ] recruited another woman to genitalize with her husband for the sake of producing offspring, so obviously the husband had the primary wife's permission to genitalize the surrogate fertile woman.

Such instances clearly involve the possibility of confusion as to who the mother would be who owns the kid produced, and who should be responsible to take care of the kid. Fun for the husband to copulate with more than one woman, maybe - if the other woman is not a fat and ugly dogface, and/or nasty bitch.

Clearly, however, the man who has a non-State-registered common-law concubine (who calls herself a spouse to a husband but not necessarily to government entities on official forms even in cases where there is no government-issued Marriage License) has to (at least in America and Canada and wherever else) adjust and accommodate to anti-fornication and anti-adultery statutes (if they exist, and/or if they are precisedly defined and enforced by law enforcement officers and courts).

But such can be done (albeit with probable degrees of persecution of various types for so doing) rather than engaging in covert or overt [adulterous] "affairs" or plainly-illegal-and-lawless sexually-assaultive molestation or rape.

Added to that, taking care of more than one woman as spouse requires much diverted attention and provisional resources:

First Corinthians 7:32 But I desire you to be without anxiety. The one who is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how to please the Lord.
First Corinthians 7:33 But the one who is married cares for the things of the world, how to please his wife [ especially if he has more than one simultaneously ].

First Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.

But - and it almost goes without saying - such marital multiple-wife/concubine harem polygamy (presently practiced by wealthy arab sheiks in Middle Eastern countries and negroid chieftains through Africa, plus various other locations worldwide) is FAR preferable to . . . well . . . you have already read the pollutive-and-defiling, shamefully-sordid, licentiously-and-lasciviously-lewd, extinction-headed alternatives:

Particularly-during-warm-weather, mopheaded-and/or-sleevesless-and/or-slacksless-and/or-soxless random female immodesty sadistically imposing itself with hypocritically-and-capriciously-prudish demanding confinement to repressive "take-it-like-a-man" "turn-away-and-don't-look-if-it-bothers-you" monogamy against sexually-harassed husbands . . . again: besieged with non-asked-for and non-solicited terroristic-like immodesty by aforementioned jealous-against-other-intruders rebellious-female chauvinist twits insisting on slavish monogamy against sexually-abused husbands by rebelliously-non-cooperative twits who are apprehensive about losing husband income and living-expenses support and inheritances . . . resulting in inciting and exacerbating quasi-legal substitutionary non-marital multiple female sex partners enticing and coaxing sensuously-starving men desperate for prompt and consistent and complete visual and tactile erotic companionship via current lamentable recourse to easily-accessible, no-cost-nor-charge-nor-obligation, sharp-resolution-and-true-color galleries of quasi-harem-equivalent, birthday-suit-naked, young/eager/attractive, R-to-XXX porno images of cute-faced-and-shapely inferior-gender teens and older captured and retained from the internet on hard drives, CD ROM disks, and flashdrives . . . some of which can be communicated to real-time (i.e. live) on Skype-type mutual-cams-connected chat interactions using the Web . . . not to mention capitulating to the well-advertised availability of downtown and suburban live-body masseuses and escorts claiming to sexually satisfy whatever a male customer is willing to pay for.

For many, and not only scurrilous-press-puffed Catholic priests, experience speaks. Been there, done that. Not proud of it. But would do it again not knowing what is known now. Weak prophetic faith and promise of future provision and satisfaction was and yet is occasionally overwhelmed by the relentless and incessant legal-but-never-legal demonic onslaught of mopheaded/naked-armed/nude-legged/soxlessly-barefooted public-immodesty duress not flaunted as flagrantly before the 1920s. Added to that, motel rooms are too expensive [ although free-access secluded and internally-lockable outdoor biffys are a possibility for the adventurous ], and income too meager for already-busy home-health-care-involved "permanent visiting angels" for devoted elderly.

The genuine Christian husband or single guy is "between a rock and a hard place" as to what exactly to do about all this -- being that he knows the Divine prohibition against acquiring and retaining and lusting with porno-impurity idols resulting in self-sodomizing masturbation and even live-person fornication or adultery of all types and degrees . . . plus horrendous and permanent consequences of not completely complying with God's requirement for 24/7 total moral purity.

Harem polygamy (perhaps covertly accomplished and limited in various ways by various means) is one possible solution (but which, of course, involves eternal permanent marital relation to the additional [ but neither "replacement" nor "different" ] consensual concubine acquired).

Of a certainty, it behooves ALL young women within our interdependent global society to agree with and act according to the following:

Ephesians 5:24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands.

First Timothy 2:8 Therefore, I desire that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In the same way also, I desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and sensibility, not adorned with broiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,
10 but with good works, which becomes women professing godliness.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I do not allow a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence [ whether in college, in court, on the news, in a squad car, in the military, in a government office, in the pulpit or at the altar lecturn, more ]
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 But she will be saved through childbearing, if she continues in faith and love and holiness with sobriety.

First Timothy 5:14 Therefore I want the younger women marry, bear children, manage the house, giving no cause to the adversary to reproach.

Is that not FAR more important than a woman instead craving a college and (worse-yet) post-graduate education for whatever devious glory-or-money purposes and NOT rather having the noble goal of simply and merely being a submissively-obedient and subordinate-to-husband-authority wife birthing her own children and then being a responsible domestic mother raising her own kids herself instead of relegating them to some insensitive non-family daycare attendants while she fools around outside the home chauvinistically harassing and competing against men in their workplaces?

Genesis 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree appeared good for food, and that it appeared to be a delight to the eyes, and that the tree appeared to be desired to make one "wise," [ i.e. gullibly brainwashed with deceptive propaganda], she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Ecclesiastes 12:11 The sayings of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings which are given by one Shepherd.
12 My son/daughter, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of humanity.
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

First Timothy 6:3 If any one teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching which accords with godliness,
4 he/she is puffed up with conceit, he/she knows nothing; he/she has a morbid craving for controversy [ listen up, Medved, CNN/MSNBC, and Huffington Post! ] and for disputes about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions,
5 and wrangling among men who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
6 There is great gain in godliness with contentment;
7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world;
8 but if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who desire to be rich [ both with money and listenership popularity ] fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs.

First Timothy 6:20 Oh [woman], guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge,
First Timothy 6:21 for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards the faith. Grace be with you.

Second Timothy 3:6 For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses
Second Timothy 3:7 who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

Ezekiel 16:32 Adulterous wife, who receives strangers instead of her husband!

Second John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that you may not lose what you have worked for, but may win a full reward.
9 Any one who goes ahead and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son.
10 If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him/her into the house or give him/her any greeting [ be they Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons or atheists or whoever ];
11 for he/she who greets her/him shares her/his wicked work.
