Real Wine

One might wonder what the Biblical basis was for repealing the unconstitutional anti-liquor-production-and-transport 18th Amendment.

It is an oxymoron, as is the phrase: "gay christian," to state the phrase: "non-fermented wine" (or, worse yet: "un-fermented wine").

There is no "wine" in existence which ever has been, is now, or ever will be "non-fermented" (or, worse yet: "un-fermented"). ALL "wine," of necessity, is somewhat fermented.

There is also no such thing as "un"-fermented or "non"-fermented grape juice, not only because fermentation, once having occurred, cannot be undone, but because when grape juice intentionally or non-intentionally becomes fermented and thus alcoholic to whatever extent, it is no longer accurately nor legitimately termed mere: "grape juice" but instead: "fermented grape juice."

Neither Hebrew nor Greek wordsmiths were semantically ignorant, stupid, nor deficient in being unable to precisely apply and distinguish different alphabet letters describing literal grape juice in contrast to literal wine.

Even anti-alcoholic-beverages Sam Bacchiocchi stated that "there are reasons for the Biblical approval and disapproval of wine," and "...grape juice does not make a person drunk."

Thus, the Greek word "oinos" could never possibly mean mere [non-fermented] grape juice when associated with the clearly anti-intoxication and plainly anti-drunkenness admonitions of both the Old Testament (e.g. Genesis 9:21, 19:32, Leviticus 10:9-11, Proverbs 23:20-21 & 33, Psalm 60:3, Proverbs 31:4-5, Isaiah 5:11-12, 19:14, 28:7, Ezekiel 44:23, First Timothy 3:2-3, and Titus 1:7-8) and the New Testament (Ephesians 5:18) . . . but obviously mean somewhat-alcoholic pain-killing beverage and medicinal beverages per Proverbs 31:6 and First Timothy 5:23.

As acquisition and possession of firearms does not automatically make gun-owning target-shooting experts and animal hunters murdering-by-gunfire terrorists, so the availability, possession, and moderate ingestion of wine and other alcoholic beverages intended by Scripture to make one's heart "merry" (which, as in Ruth 3:7 and Esther 1:7-10 does NOT mean "drunk" unless specified as in First Samuel 25:36) and "gladden their hearts" (Psalm 104:15) does not automatically nor even probably cause those (whose minds are set to keep their senses sane and sober for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ and their prayers) to become dangerous Hell-bound drunkards.

Ecclesiastes 10:17 Blessed are you, land, when your king is the son of free men, and your princes feast at the proper time, for strength, and not for drunkenness!

The Glory of the Cross 507b
Tune: W. C. Givens, 1908; Arranged by Syble (Wootten) Adams, 2010
Lyrics: Isaac Watts, 1707
Meter: Common Meter (8,6,8,6)

I'm not ashamed to own my Lord,
Or to defend His cause;
Maintain the honor of His Word,
The glory of His cross.

Jesus, my God, I know His name,
His name is all my trust;
Nor will He put my soul to shame,
Nor let my hope be lost.

There will He own my worthless name,
Before His Father's face,
And in the New Jerusalem,
Appoint my soul a place.

Within the scope of https://cdccmn2.tripod.com/onlywrds.htm and http://computerarium.tripod.com/doitrite.htm the question of whether or not women should be in charge of men and authority over them is definitively and succinctly answered by the following:

Isaiah 3:12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. Oh my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

Nahum 3:13 Hey, your troops are women in your presence. The gates of your land are wide open to your enemies; fire has devoured your fortresses.

First Timothy 2:11 Let a woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
15 Yet woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with sensibility.

The Senate recently confirmed Loretta Lynch for attorney general, clearing the way for her to become the first African-American woman to ever serve as the nation's top law enforcement official.

Senators voted 56-43 to confirm Lynch, more than 160 days after she was first nominated for the position by Mombasa-Kenyan-born Barack Hussein Obama.

Ten Republican senators broke ranks and sided with Democrats to get Lynch over the 50-vote threshold: Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Susan Collins (Maine), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), Rob Portman (Ohio), Thad Cochran (Miss.), Ron Johnson (Wis.) and Mitch McConnell (Ky.).

Bonus:

All of us humans who have been naturally [yet supernaturally] conceived have irrevocably and inescapably entered into eternity of two stages, or parts (if you will).

The temporal part is now being within a body of which life functions will be terminated (whether soon or later on) - and its characteristic is confinement to, and measurement by, finite beginnings and endings, finite startings and stoppings.

The permanent part will become operational at the time of, and after, our temporally-physical deaths - and its characteristic will be infinite timelessness (whether forever residing in Heaven as described in Scripture, or instead forever residing in Hell as described in Scripture).

The present body of Jesus Christ exists (and the resurrected bodies of both the righteous and the wicked will exist) in the permanent part of eternity, yet the Lord Jesus has existed and can also exist in the temporal part though not bound by the parameters thereof.

At the resurrection, the bodies of both the righteous and the wicked will exist in never-natural-anymore supernatural physical form eternally, although in the case of the righteous, their bodies will never experience pain, nor deteriorate, nor be destroyed in any way by anything . . . but in the case of the wicked, their bodies will always experience pain by being forever consumed with invisible flames in outer darkness, yet continuously and simultaneously be renewed so as to deteriorate and be destroyed perpetually.

Belief in, or disbelief against, the aforementioned is not necessary or relevant for maintaining its reality and veracity.
