Back before about 1920 in America, all the way back to its early history in the late 1600s and 1700s, there were (according to historical research and records) phenomena which, in the humble opinion of yours truly, both existed and were intimately related.

The first of such was the general occurrence of large families (anywhere from three to more children) who had migrated from the eastern United States, headed west, and settled in homesteads in various locations across the nation all the way to the Pacific coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California.

The second is that the police-like constraint there was (sheriffs and marshals plus tandem city-hall court-house judges) enforced Biblically-based law learned not merely within homes of pioneer families from dads and moms and in Sunday School within churches, but that obtained inside strictly-disciplined public-school classrooms.

The third is the puritan and amish-like modesty of pioneer women and their female children which rivals modesty we currently see in media and in person of fundamentalist islamic/muslim women and girls sporting their decently-attired wardrobes of burka and hijab shawls and robes.

All three were non-deniably present among most of the early settlers throughout the 1800s and up to around 1920...but after which more and more of the populace, brainwashed by the then-novel imposition of heretically-apostate anti-Biblical-and-anti-creationist Darwinian evolution, rebelliously gave in to sexually-perverted prurient demons, evidenced by skirt hems beginning to immodestly rise with worldly flapper exhibitionism in the 20s and 30s and beyond -- about the same time males were rebelliously giving in to demons of violence as the gullibly naive among them cheerfully went boisterously off to fight in the bloody and horrible World War I (from when many of them never came back alive, returned seriously injured and crippled by bomb explosions, bullet wounds, and debilitation from mustard gas contact and inhalation), and then again in the more massive holocausts of World War II.

Why do I relate the three factors mentioned above? Deviates and heretics would counter: "What has that to do with anything? Such were only only coincidences. Pitiful instances of being bound by religious repression and hallucinations-based superstition."
