Tax The Poor?

The other night I switched over to C-SPAN 2 and happened to see the mass assemblage of people at a rally in what (according to captions) was the Iranian city of Tehran.

They were celebrating the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution, with Ahmadinejad orating his Iranian-language speech about "justice" and "unity," while the vast conglomeration of both Iranian men (and especially-notable Iranian women) were standing there quietly receptive to their nationalistic gathering.

I continued to watch, and - although it was not any fast-action thriller video and so became somewhat boring and monotonous after a while - I have to admit that I was somewhat intrigued at what I saw with an inner admirable feeling of respect - particularly for the preponderance of shawled-and-robed Iranian women gathered there.

What caught and captured my attention was the complete absence of the sight of ANY woman visible who was NOT quite-modestly wearing a hijab shawl and robe....and when I say "complete absence" I mean: complete absence of the sight of any women who was not wearing a shawl-and-robe hijab.

It was almost as satisfying as when I switch to the Catholic cable station (EWTN) and relax watching the pathetically boring same-old/same-old repetitious-pattern ritualistic choreography of the priests performing each nightly Mass. When I do watch that stuff for anti-[porno-mophead] relief, I again am relaxed in the confidence that my eyes will not be visually assaulted by any vilely-mishairstyled mopheaded woman terroristically imposed within some serial show, talk show, or commercial attempting to impersonally defile me with her obscene loose long hair not tied back in a single ponytail or up in a bun.

Numbers 5:12 (RSV/NASV) Say to the people of Israel, "If any man's wife goes astray and acts unfaithfully against him,
13 if a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and she is undetected though she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her, since she was not taken in the act;
14 and if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife who has defiled herself; or if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife, though she has not defiled herself;
15 then the man shall bring his wife to the priest . . .
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD;
18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and [unbind the hair]/[loosen the hair] of the woman's head, and . . ."

Song 7:1 (RSV/NASV/etc.) How graceful are your footsteps in sandals, royal maiden! Your rounded thighs are like jewels, the work of a master hand.
2 Your navel is a rounded bowl that never lacks mixed wine. Your belly is a heap of wheat, encircled with lilies [Victoria's Secret in a thong bikini?]
. 3 Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
4 Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are pools in Heshbon [no face-veil this time!], by the gate of Bathrabbim. Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon, overlooking Damascus.
5 Your head crowns you like Carmel, and your flowing locks (i.e. mopheaded/loosened longer-than-mouth-level hair) are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses.
6 How fair and pleasant you are, loved one, delectable maiden!
7 You are stately as a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters.
8 I say I will climb the palm tree and lay hold of its branches. Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the scent of your breath like apples,
9 and your kisses like the best wine that goes down smoothly, gliding over lips and teeth of sleepers.
10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is for me [not wasted on the seductively-enticing mopheadedness of some selfishly-foxy harlot-type irresponsibly flaunting her wrong-in-public-view loose long hairstyle].

First Corinthians 11:3 Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading [i.e. a shame] to him,
15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her pride [or glory - as also are her bare feet, buttocks, nipples, pubic hair, vulva, and anus glorious]? For her hair is given to her for a covering [because she would look yucky ugly if she was bald].
16 If any one wants to be contentious, we recognize no such practice [of allowing a woman to consider her mopheadedness as a prayer veil], nor do the churches of God.

Though not as often pictorally lewd as the panned-audience scenes I remember during Billy Graham crusides, I am not completely comfortable with the telecasts of the Mass on EWTN however, because every once in a while the cameraman pans toward the congregational audience, and there is occasionally some asshole woman or girl visible in the audience with her irresponsible drippy and sloppy mopheadedness imposed to sexually harass me (although impersonally) with her seductively-demonic loose-long-haired hairstyle.

Not so with the Iranian telecast. In the first place, C-SPAN 2 is not known to suddenly, instantly, and terroristically impose program-interrupting commercials (especially those imposing brief or extended scenes of mopheaded women in point-blank in-your-face view trying to advertise something). In the second place, the Iranian crowd telecast by C-SPAN 2 was unusually clean regarding (and not "concerning") completely porn-hairstyle-free scenes.

The thought occurred to me that if hairstyled-hedonist America and Europe intend to thwart such VERY-modestly-dressed Iranians from progressing with nuclear generating plants, hedonistic America and Europe are (both understandably and thankfully) going to have "one hell of a time" trying to do so, and they will not have my complete support. Having said that, I (of course) certainly do not support covert Ahmadinejad-directed shenanigans of secretly and deceitfully also using "peaceful" nuclear technology to develop nuclear weapons to "wipe the present Israeli Administration off the face of the map." Netanyahu admittedly and deplorably has his stupid and asinine pro-homogay-supportive proclivities, but it has been said that he and his son do read the jewish bible together.

Which now gets me to my growing preference, over the past weeks and months and even years, to watch The Ed Schultz and The Rachel Maddow and "Last-Word" Lawrence O'Donnell shows on MSNBC....instead of FOX-TV's Hannity. It's not so much that I like to hear Ed and Rachel and Lawrence revile GOP Republicans (and certainly anti-abortion-homicide, anti-homogay genuine Republicans like Newt Gingrich), although that is a qualified statement I will shortly expound upon.

It is simply that when Hannity interviews despicably-mopheaded Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and other filthily-mishairstyled mopheaded panelists and whoever with the disgustingly-obscene and needlessly-enticing loose long hair, I quickly switch to Unionized-Bonehead Ed or snippy-twitfaced-but-pleasantly-short-haired lezbo Rachel or sarcastically-sassy Lawrence for escape and perhaps (although it is getting less and less frequent) only switch back to Hannity and cohorts once in a while to see if the accursedly-mishairstyled mopheaded females are no longer there and no longer visible to assault my eyesight and mental purity. More often than not, they are indeed yet there, and hence my increasing viewership loyalty to affixing my TV viewing to Ed, Rachel, and Lawrence.

There is another thing I find really noxious, repulsive, and potentially quite devastating pertaining to whether or not I want to be activist concerning pro-GOP campaigning and voting in the upcoming election of 2012.

When I hear movers and shakers - who claim to be GOP - relentlessly and insistently repeat that "half of Americans pay no income taxes," it is an indescribable turnoff in my mind.

The reason for that is that I am one of those who do not pay income taxes for the pure and simple reason that I do not presently earn enough money to pay such taxes because of the under-$3700-income-cutoff exemption allowing me to not even file a 1040 Form and because of the Standard Personal Deduction I have used in the past to cut my taxable income down to zero.

Now, what do Sean Hannity, Medved, Mike Gallagher, Hugh Hewitt, and other presumed GOP leaders have in mind when they state that "half of Americans pay no income taxes?" Do they want the poor to soon start to paying taxes, and so further oppress the poor who are now barely able to pay what residual monthly expenses and bills they already are almost-devastatingly burdened with? Or do they themselves want to no longer pay the purported 25%-to-35% of income taxes they must continue to pay under the present IRS tax scheme?

IF their intention is the former, and they want to oppress the poor by forcing them to now begin to pay taxes the poor simply cannot afford with their meager funding, I hope and pray to the Lord Jesus Christ that such diabolical devilish oppressors as Hannity, Medved, Gallagher, Hewitt and their ilk continue to pay their 25%-to-35% . . . and even MORE!

From what I understand, Newt Gingrich has made it clear that his proposal is to retain the current IRS exemption-and-deduction system for those who want to continue with it.....while allowing others to do a much-simplified across-the-board 15% Flat Tax. Guess which one I - one of the impoverished poor - would choose?

Another thing that greatly irritates me is that the same movers and shakers (such as Hannity, Medved, Gallagher, Hewitt, etc.), claiming to be GOP-affiliated, want to do away with "entitlements" - as if throwing grandma under the bus and forcing those languishing in hospice to get off their lazy butts and get a job, would eradicate the National-Debt Deficit. With their five-or-six-figure annual income, Hannity, Medved, etc. can afford to sit on their affluent rear ends and propose tyranny against the impoverished poor, with arrogance and impunity . . . but it would be the common people who make under $15,000 a year who would catastrophically suffer if Hannity, Medved, Gallagher, Hewitt, and their ilk got their forced-employment way.

As a result, I am consequentially not in any mood whatsoever to campaign nor vote for any such supposed-GOP tyrants who intend to further impoverish the poor by cutting Social-Security and Medicare "entitlements" while forcing them to begin paying IRS income taxes.

If Newt wants to become the GOP presidential nominee, and then become President in place of Barack Obama, I hope to God that he relentlessly promises to neither cut entitlements for the needy nor intend to force them to start paying income taxes to the IRS . . . and that the network media copiously publicizes those comments to the general population within the United States soon enough and long enough for American voters at large to both believe and trust that he (and his chosen GOP associates) will not screw the already-financially-desolate.
