Panning through the additional set of cable-TV channels after my dad upgraded his service with Comcast, this curious webpage author shortly thereafter encountered Channel 116 (some kind of a presumptuously-suggestive and quasi--authoritative History channel) late into the evening which was broadcasting an attack against not merely religious cults claiming to be Christian (while slandering Christianity as a "cult" supposedly par with Buddhism, Islam, the 60s Hippie Movement, etc.), but also against Christ and His disciples themselves.....insinuating that the Lord Jesus was a needlessly-divisive troublemaker who disruptively and even treasonously irritated both jewish authorities and Roman government officials to the consternation and confusion of all.

[Which sacred saints to them were sort of like purportedly-disloyal-to-England American founding-father pilgrim-pioneer patriots rebelling against the status-quo ruthless and tyrannous red-coat brits who burned women and children to death they had trapped inside farmland church buildings.

The scurrilously-blasphemous program stated NOT that Jesus [actually] did miracles....but instead that His apostles merely believed that Jesus Christ could have done them.

After continuing on to state that Christianity became so popular that it eventually became mainstream, the programmers portrayed naked porn images of Adam and Eve which inferred that that lewd-and-indecent pseudo-art truly and faithfully represented Christianity, and that people were ostracized and even whacked into submission by catholics to espouse it. Shoving such dirty licentuousness into my eyes caused me to angrily surf to other cable channels for a while [a great way to waste the not-seen-by-me efforts of obscenity-pandering advertising sponsors funding the program].

Case in point was the initial reference to some rapist in Utah they associated with mormon-offshoot polygamy, and then Jim Jones who molested, beat, then poisoned with cyanide his congregation after ordering guyanese goons to gun down a California congressman investigating Jonestown and then attempting to escape in a plane. Of course, they associated the San Francisco sign of People's Temple with the word "Christ" also posted on the sign, as if to infer association with all and genuine Christianity and Christians everywhere in the past, present, and future.

I studied logic at the University of Minnesota, and got a "B" in it. As I remember, the Latin term modus ponens was applied to one type of simple logic of: If A = B and B = C then A = C. Most of the Latin terms for other types of logical thinking I do not remember, but that is not to say that I and others cannot reason logically - whatever our diverse opinions, which individual opining does not automatically make our views false.

Is it not obvious to anyone with even elementary common sense that the defamatory cable TV program I mentioned had ludicrously illogical comparisons?

For example, being that the Utah rapist was claimed to be a polygamist, then were Old-Testament-history-mentioned polygamists Abram, Jacob, Gideon, David, and Solomon also rapists deserving to have been on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List? Of course not!

Because Saint Paul in his New Testament epistle to Timothy stated that bishops and deacons be the husband of one wife, is that supposed to indicate that Paul was a rapist disallowing heteropolygamy harems for laymen? Or that the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ speaking through Paul was inferring that some heteropolygamists are priest pedophiles, or that there should be women clergy instead of the eccesiastical males who are the husband of one wife, or that a few polygamists are bisexual or transsexual or transvestite homosexuals while allegedly being authentic Christians?

How about this one: Being that Jesus could have been human, and Hitler was human, therefore Jesus was antisemitic.
Or this variation: Being that Jesus could have been human, and Hitler was antisemitic, therefore Jesus was antisemitic.
Another would be: Being that Jesus could have been a Jew, and Hitler was not, therefore Hitler was a Jew.
A different angle: Being that Jesus was a good Jew, and Hitler was a bad human, therefore Jesus was antisemitic.
An additional one: Being that Jesus was not antisemitic, and Hitler was antisemitic, therefore Jesus was not a Jew.
Try this one: Being that Jesus was not antisemitic, and Hitler was antisemitic, therefore Hitler was not a Jew.
We continue: Being that Jesus was not Hitler, and Hitler was not Jesus, therefore both were not antisemitic.
To press on: Being that Jesus was not Hitler, and Hitler was not Jesus, therefore Jesus and Hitler were antisemitic.
Finally: Being that Jesus was not antisemitic, and Hitler was antisemitic, therefore both were human.
One more: Being that Jesus was not antisemitic, and Hitler was antisemitic, therefore both were not human.

None of the above?

Maybe we should run the above by Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, or Rachel Maddow of MSNBC. Or the Establishment-Clause-only AU or ACLU or PLC or NOW or PAW? I would just love to see them contradicting and subverting themselves trying to figure all that out.

And who exactly caused the problem of dissention and division pertaining to Jesus and both jews and Romans? Who was to fault for being jealous disbelievers against that bonafide Son of David who was indeed the Son of God? Was it the Lord of Perfect and Courageous Holiness, the temporarily-transfigured, risen-from-the-dead Creator of the Universe (who never once attacked Roman law enforcement, but merely preached harmless free-speech words and healed those who were sick and handicapped and dead) to blame for causing conflict....or instead Haman-like infidels [like the History channel program personnel and Comcast] who put duressed pressure on Roman officials [and the FCC] to allow what Pilate knew full well was envy-caused rioting shouts and disturbing-the-peace demands for imposing non-deserving crucifixion? What was the "criminal" nature of Christ walking on water, changing water into wine, calming a Sea of Galilee windstorm by speaking it into quietness, forgiving a penitent adulteress, giving mercy-laden grace to a five-times-immoral woman of Samaria and to a repentant thief on a cross?

If scribes and pharisees were intimidated and harassed, were they themselves not to blame for being intimidated and harassed by intimidating and harassing innocent others themselves? Was it Luther who harassed the pope, or rather the greedy and heretic pope who harassed Luther? Are there similar self-intimidated pompous-ostrich popes in even and especially certain anglican, baptist, lutheran, presbyterian, methodist, and other churches presently?

The Scripture of The HOLY BIBLE (in at least the best of such English-language renditions as the KJV, NKJV, KJ21, RSV, NRSV, NASV, etc.) is neither a collection of myths nor a conglomeration of legends. Everything recorded as is in Holy Writ is historical fact and either actually happened or was actually said verbatim.

Many who are false-prophet-type heretics (spewing their apostasy on cable-TV channels, in newspapers, magazines, videos, etc.) have alleged and some yet purport that various parts of Scripture are incomplete, have incorrect or misleading additional information, need adjustment to suit contemporary culture and social customs and legality, or are simply too negative or unpleasant for the common person to need or want to hear.

The Word of the Lord has this answer against such individuals:

Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me (as for example different-than-human-bionic-Robocop, image-of-the-beast-like, HAL-reminiscent, pseudo-emotional/pseudo-morality-discernable, souless-humanoid-robot wonderthing "Lt Commander" Data of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" - not to mention mopheads psycho-exhibitionist Troi and feminist-mommaboss "Dr" Beverly Crusher).

Suppose a homosexual (male or lesbian), atheist, evolutionist, abortionist, antisemitic muslim, anti-Christian jew (notice such is not capitalized!), or public-immodesty-promoting porno-idolater (etc.) wants to rent your religious-premise facility....and you flatly refuse.

Their accusation might be a harsh and insensitive retort of: "You're intimidating, intolerant, bigoted, and judgmental!"

A good reply against (not necessarily for) such might be:

"So what? So what? What are you going to do about it? Stop me? You and whose army? Ever hear of B.O.Q. [Bonafide Occupational Qualification] Religious Exemptions for Tax-Free (not merely Tax-Exempt) Religious Organizations and Individuals?

Do not unconstitutionally interfere with my free-speech and free-association rights under the Non-Establishment-of-Cultic-AntiChristian-Religion and Non-Prohibition-of-Christian-Religion Clauses of the First Amendment!

You try to sue me, and I just may counter-sue you! Hope you got the money to waste in the vain, complex, potentially-very-embarrassing, and possibly financial-incapacitating effort to get what little meagerness I own, while I utilize a pro-bono free Public Defender to take my case!

Besides, you yourself are being negative, biased, and intolerantly judgmental by accusing me.

There is a place for legitimate hatred against both the sin and the sinner in the Christian religion, as clearly indicated within our Holy Bible. But there is no place for committing (and not "performing") the hate crime of hating Christians who Scripturally hate what and those who should be hated - whether that commission and not performance occurs within church or state, and as an agent of the government of the people, or of the governed themselves."
